Sending Eleana away or not
So, I kinda FELT it was my duty to send her away in order to save her, and I didn't think of having her stay was a solution. That's why I had to say "she didn't belong here". Although I would've liked if there was another way of making her leave, instead of (possibly) hurting her emotionally.
I would like your thoughts on what you felt about deciding if she should be send away, to ensure her safety, or you feel like you shouldn't go against her will (or whatever your reasons might have been).
Also, I was almost weirded out by the fact that only 1.6%(!!) dismissed her.

Most would of said to her, this is war which would've made her leave.. then their conversation was abrupted by the Whitehills raming the gates.
Because that dialogue option "You don't belong here" sounds so damn rude, I can't even... Who was phrasing it? Most of people probably thought that this option will hurt her feelings, so they chose the "nicer" ones. Oh well, It seems like writers don't want to bother with Elaena's character in Season 2, so they either have her captured or unknown (presumably dead, or thinking that Rodrik is a massive asshole). Oh, and sorry for my rage, but I absolutely hate what they've done to Elaena in episode 6.
I definitely see your point. Guess I really didn't consider people were going for a "nicer" dismissal... Perhaps I just kinda HAD to be 100% sure she would leave.
I fucking hope not. Honestly, I don't think she will be gone in the 2nd season, as there could be a possible romance/flirt character for both Rodrik and Asher (Gwyn or something?), if the right choices have been made. But hey, it's Telltale, they might just get rid of the character anyway.
It's even worse in Asher's playthrough as she just vanishes after seeing Rodrik's corpse. It's like Telltale assumed people who saved Asher didn't care about Elaena.
I haven't picked the option yet, but it really feels out of character for my Rodrik to say something like that to someone he cares about, especially since he has always been warm and kind to those he loves.
Ikr, Elaena's teleportation skills are almost at Ramsay's level.
Perhaps she vanishes because she doesn't care about Asher?
There is no interaction purpose between the two.
Makes sense to me, at least. Why would she still be there when Rodrik is dead and a war pending?
On the other hand, since he cares about her that much, he could send her away to protect her. It's my point of view about this.
Really depends on the way you play Rodrik. In my alternate canon my Rodrik was dark, vengeful and did whatever it took to protect those he loves. And if the people he loves don't like it, then tough. So naturally my Rodrik sent Elaena away.
Sigh, episodesix!Elaena. What the hell have they done to bae?
I told her she belonged at Ironrath because #wifeystatus first of all and a huge part of her personality is she values making her own decisions, so because Rodders loves her I wasn't going to have him go against that, even to try to ensure her safety. I also thought we'd have more of a chance to protect her by keeping her close than we ended up getting... and why didn't Ortengryn try to send Elissa and Talia with her to the Riverlands? The lord's mom and little sister can potentially be killed in this upcoming battle but omg, we have to send his fiancée away for sure! And Elaena can't even go home because her dad told her not to come back but her cousins will be fine with her just showing up on their doorstep? It was just an entirely bizarre thing. Then in my alternate save with Asher, what the actual hell? She just looks at poor Rodrik like oh and then is never seen or heard from again. I expected to see her at the shindig looking all depressed at least and I would have felt maybe a little better if she had been there. In my mind at least Elaena's part of the family and that Asher never got to speak to her and she just disappeared after going at Rodrik made zero sense and really hurt. It also hurt that you either have to all but break up with her to keep her safe or watch her be dragged away to who knows what horrible fate while Asher at least has the possibility of ending up with Gwyn if you play your cards right. I think Rodrik and Elaena deserved that same opportunity, especially since Asher and Gwyn haven't seen each other in years and it's seriously unclear what feelings are there or not there and we spent the past few episodes becoming familiar with Rodrik and Elaena's relationship.
TL;DR it wasn't handled like I would've liked to have seen it handled and we better see Elaena again. I'm not done with her.
I almost wonder if there's some prior animosity between Asher and Elaena. You would think Asher would have said at least a few words to her, or the other way around.
About the Riverlands, it isn't exactly a safe place, because in the books the region is used as a battlefield for the war and thus is ravaged and roaming with bandits and outlaws.
Actually no places in Westeros are safe.
Very, very true. Still, given what ended up happening to Elaena and Elissa, I'd put Ironrath pretty high on my Imminently Dangerous Places list as opposed to lots of other places. I'm hoping Elaena's cousins at least don't have an army parked outside their door that's wanted to kill them for centuries.
