What if all the characters die in the beginning of S2?

edited February 2016 in Game Of Thrones

This is something I've been thinking about since TWD S2 opening. Which pretty much got rid of anyone you knew until Kenny showed back up. Do you think they will get rid of the majority of the characters from S1? I know Mira is detrimental and so is Roooderrrick, Ashum, and a few other characters. How would you feel about the majority of the characters being killed off rather early?.

  • I highly doubt it, even for Telltale Games, I don't think they'd just kill off characters like that, otherwise it will always be something some people use to make Telltale look bad :x

  • Unlike the Walking Dead, Game of Thrones had a lot of confirmed surviving characters- Asher/Rodrik, Talia, the Sentinel/Traitor/Gwyn, Ryon, and Beskha.

Walking Dead had Omid, Christa, and Clementime confirmed at S2 beginning. Everyone else (even Kenny, until his reveal) was dead, so it was just 2 they sidelined.

So I doubt they'd just kill off that many for the sake of it.

  • I dont see the point. In the walking dead its a major weakness of the series constantly killing all the characters. The only reason game of thrones is any good is the gradual attachment to the characters

  • I just can't see why they would do that. Even if Game of Thrones is known for killing characters off, it isn't a good thing for the narrative to kill off characters that are too closely tied to the story. The Rodrik and Asher choice in Episode 5, wasn't damaging to the plot because the survivor will ultimately take up their mantle and role.

  • I agree - in TWD you would save a character by your choice and then he would die in the next episode anyway, that happened a lot. Probably because it would be too hard to create so many different branches in the story. Lets hope they'll handle determinant characters better in GoT. So far they did a good job.

  • I imagine the Sentinel will be killed rather early in epside one, if Gwyn appeared at the end she'll head back to Highpoint around the same time in the episode the Sentinel would be killed. I'd give Asher/Rodrik until episode 2 or 3 but Talia will live. Beskha will likely survive the season as will Ryon. Gared will stay North of the Wall and be a useless piece of shit helping nobody anywhere. Gregor's bastards will survive the season, but I hope the bear and Josera (I think that's his name... the male twin) dies because it's a fucking polar bear named Shadow. Ludd or Gryff will die early on and Torrhen and Ebbert will be playable. Malcolm will be playable and unfortunately will survive the season.

  • "Unfortunately"? You didn't like as me the fact that he stayed with the Targaryen instead of protecting his family or you hate him for some others reasons?

  • Yup, I despise him for betraying his family.

  • Yeah, I wonder if he didn't choose to stay for his family -house Branfield as they were known as Targ' loyalists and with her on the throne, he could get his lands and titles back. House Forrester, however, didn't need him to stay there.
Anyway, I'm glad I could have "don't you mean fire and blood?" him.

Yup, I despise him for betraying his family.
