How will Tales fit into Borderlands 3?
How do you think TFTBL will fit into the now in development BORDERLANDS 3?
Helios is gone, We have new heros that have interacted with excisting characters. Will people like Lilith, Mordy & Brick return?
The ending of Tales leaves much to the imagination - But my guess is that this would be addressed in Season 2. But I would love to hear the cast mention Rhys, Fiona and gang and how they took down Helios. We know Zer0, Athena & Janey are on good terms with them so they'd be a trusted edition to the team. Hell they've basically wiped Hyperion and brought back Atlas from the grave.
After all....

Here's the thing.
I kinda don't want Tales to be involved in Borderlands 3. I'm not sure I can trust riders outside of Telltale with their original characters, but references like you mentioned would be nice.

What about if Gearbox actually brings in the Telltale writers to write those characters specifically.
Well if Atlas is involved at all, we all know who the new owner is.
But he disappeared in the vault with the brand new vault hunter...
It'll be interesting.
As long as they use the writers who were actually involved and not some random TTG ones coughAmidTheRuinscough I'm all for it.
Amid the Ruins had two writers, Eric Stirpe (who was one of the main writers for TFTBL, having an additional writing credit on Episode 1, a co-writing credit on Episode 2, and was the lead writer of Episode 3) and J.T. Petty, who doesn't actually work at Telltale but is an accomplished video game writer, writing games like Outlast and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. And I highly doubt Gearbox would ask Telltale to send some random writer over to write a Tales character, and I'm sure Telltale would likely send someone like Stirpe or Shorette over to help write it.
Personally Id prefer if Tales characters were in Borderlands 3 that they would be in it at an absolute minimum. Id love to see references, but they should never do something that would break the cannon for players.
Bringing back Atlas weapons, probably removing Hyperion brand, a few references and cameos, that's probably it.
I just want Sasha to be Vault Hunter.
Gimme that and I'll be happy.
I'd like to see the TftB characters at least as NPCs. And hopefully some Atlas weapons will make comeback. :P
Maybe after what they did with Battleborn, they'll do the same thing, in a way. Showing that they can have a huge character roster, and still make them great (in my opinion at least. I really love Isic and Orendi because of their VAs) so who knows. Maybe we get all of the ALIVE vault hunters again.
That starts all the way from Brick to Loader Bot. Shit maybe some of the Battleborn are down to fight against this upcoming War. I mean the mysterious alien from TPS said a war is coming, so why should it just be 4-6 ppl fighting it?
I'd honestly have no problem if every gearbox game was from the same multiverse. Would love to see Rath and ZerO on the battlefield. Would love to see Brick and Oscar Mike kickin ass. Shit just give me Krieg and Tiny Tina and I'll call it a day!

That'd be cool, but how would she work with Rhys at Atlas developing weapons like in all the fanfics?

Her ability should defintely be gun related, Weapon Specialist. Would have to be SMG's
I think that battleborn was also to see if they can make a big cast of character individual etc. I think they've done it
Yeah to see if they could have all these different characters and still make them memorable and likable and desirable.
What i think will Change in BL3 since TftBL:
yeah. I think Thats it. And i think, that TftBL won't be essential for the Story like, at all. Because it was a Spin-Off. Like The Pre Sequel.
It'd be cool if as the game goes on you can buy more and more Atlas weapons, showing the building back up of the company.
As a BL2 player, I'd love the following to happen:
I imagine that Borderlands 3 will just carry on the tradition of using previous main characters of the Borderlands games as side characters for the new one, so I think we'll see Rhys/Fiona/Vaughn/Sasha as side characters who we interact with throughout the game and on specific missions.
I figure they will be nods to the story of Tales as well obviously. Things like the Vault they opened and how they caused Helios to fall.

the one thing i REALLY WANT is that Atlast actually makes some good guns, it has tediore and all those "magic" guns in Borderlands 2 (also i want S&S munitions to come back, imo they have rally underrated weapons) i like the weapons sytem in BL1 a lot better than BL2 and the chances of getting a rare weapon. and bring back michael mamaril, some free unique guns are pretty nice to find.
I really doubt they'll use any of the already established Vault Hunters from ANY game as playable characters (I'd love them as DLC though - Love to reunite Brick with an Atlas Ogre and improved skill tree!) because I think a lot of people would brand that "lazy". Last time Gearbox (well, 2k Australia) did that was for TPS, and it didn't get very well received.
I'd like to see 4-6 new vault hunters, but with a large expanded roster of DLC characters. That may or may not include Tales characters.
And it's fairly easy to explain away Rhys and Fiona's absence given the ending.
I'd like to see Bossanova&Vallory as bosses in BL3 and Loader bot as a playable character. These could possibly be bonuses or DLC. Although I do think there will be easter eggs and potential Cameos.
