Collectors Monkey Island DVD

So I pre-ordered Tales Of monkey Island and they said when I pre-order them I will get the dvd of all the eps after the last one comes out. So how do I go about that and get it. Just want to know did not know who to talk to about that did not see any links?

Thanks if anyone helps.

The DVD hasn't been released yet. When it's released you'll be able to tell because you'll be snatching it excitedly from the post man.

Just to reiterate that, you don't have to do anything, the DVD will be sent to you once it's out. But they're currently putting it together and adding special features, etc. I'm sure the developers will post here when there's information about them going out, but I think most people aren't expecting it to happen for another few months.

Just pretend, and try to convince yourself, that the DVD will never be completed or that it doesn't exist at all. Then, when you actually do get the DVD in the mail, you can be really excited and think to yourself "Wow! I didn't expect this! What a pleasant surprise!" :D.

    Not quite.
Once the DVD is ready, you will get an e-mail informing you of its availability.
Then, it's up to you to place the order and pay for the shipping costs.

How much do you reckon shipping to the UK will cost?

In order to find how much shipping would cost, I would advise you to put a similar item in your shopping cart and proceed to checkout (but do not complete checkout unless you want to purchase that item, of course!).
I just put the Wallace & Gromit DVD in my cart and it looks as though the cheapest shipping option to the UK would be International Priority Mail for $15.75 (other options are FedEx International Economy for $45.08 or FedEx International Priority for $49.18).
At the current exchange rate, that would be £9.88.

    £9.88... ouch, that's quite a lot. I hope it's crammed with extras.

To be fair, those rates might be a flat fee up to a certain weight (having shipped a package to London just four days ago, I know USPS offers a flat rate box for international shipping).
I tried with two DVD's in my shopping cart with a UK address and all three shipping rates remained the same.
After that, USPS Priority Mail remains at $15.75 (I tried up to ten DVD's in my shopping cart) whereas FedEx goes up at three, then again after a few more are added).

I don't recall having to do this for Sam & Max, but I'll take your word for it.

Wow, that doesn't sound good, considering I'll be shipping it to Europe too.

When I ordered the Sam&Max Season 2 DVD about 15 Month ago it was 11$ to Germany via "USPS International First Class". The Option doesn't show up anymore though.

Something could be wrong as it was back here.

When I try the TTG store now I get:
1 DVD: $15.75 - USPS Priority Mail International
3 different DVDs: $32.05 - USPS Priority Mail International
90 x the same DVD $15.75 - USPS Priority Mail International

When I use the USPS cost calculator for
"Germany, Package, 1 Pound (About 4 DVDs)" the cheapest I see is "First-Class Mail® International Package - $10.76".
"Germany, Package, 4 oz (About 1 DVD)" shows me "First-Class Mail® International Package - $3.96".

Hey guys, we're looking into it. Thanks for the reports!

Yeah, when I tried getting Wallace and Gromit during the sale, the game was a bit under 15 dollars (with the 25% off) but the shipping was over 15 dollars. (To western, southern Canada).

I figured I'd wait until I order ToMI to get W&G as well. But I'm wondering, for future reference, if you preordered, you can order the DVD for free (apart for shipping) any time right? So that I don't have to pay that much for shipping at once, I could wait to have a few DVDs ready and order them all at once...

    Yes, that's correct. No worries!

I somewhat recall a mention of shipping fees to be paid once the DVD is available. I'm just hoping I can give a new address then, I've moved since first ordering...

Yeah. The DVD redemption occurs on a separate order, so you'll get a chance to enter your correct shipping address when the time comes.

Anything new on the DVD shipping prices to Germany?

The cheapest option I get in the TTG Store for "3 x Sam & Max Season Two + Collector's DVD" is still "$32.05 - USPS Priority Mail International".

Any chance of getting "USPS First-Class Mail International Package" as an option?
It is pretty cheap, directly depending on the weight
    $1.44 (1 oz.) - $31.40 (64 ozs.)
and should be suitable in most cases:

    Maximum weight: 4lbs
    Maximum length: 24 inches
Maximum length, + height, + thickness combined: 36 inches

The exact prices are listed here at the bottom.

The DVD is still in production. When it is available you will be notified that you can order it for the price of shipping. During that ordering process you can enter the shipping address.

You have to input your shipping address everytime you made an order. And since you have to make a different order for the DVD (Which will cost 0 + shipping if you have all chapters already), don't worry.
