Protecting the gate wasn't necessarily tactically smart. By having few forces you can't safely overextend and get to the gates without clear… moreing the way first. I choose to save people (Killing immediate threats first without overextending) for that reason only. Seemed smarter tactically. Plus you save your people. In the end it makes no difference tactically, but you either have your people alive or massacred. Hope it makes a difference in S2.

I think you did the smart thing. Ironrath survivors are on their own whatever you choose to do. If you stay, they're on their own. If you march South, how do you expect Gared the brother-killer oathbreaker (no offense) to pass the wall? The night's Watch will have his head. Unless he attacks with mance but then you know that Stannis is going to reinforce and no wildling will go through. I truly believe marching South is suicide, and you stayed true to lord Gregor's words. You know, "The future of the house may depend on it". I think Elsera's blood magic can create shadows to kill Whitehill family members. Killing them removes the snake's head. The rest is a bunch of unorganized soldiers that will likely initiate an internal strife. Then, with Malcolm's help Dany shall be able to deal without Croft and his Hellhounds. So staying in the grove seems smart. Either way, you won't be able to get South of the wall and even if you somewhat manage that, you'll never come in time to help. There's about 1200 miles to walk, which you can march in min 20 days provided you're amazingly resilient physically.If you take a month it's already about 67 km per day. By that time, Asher/Rodrik and Talia will have either survived and fled, or not. Gared can't save them. Asher/rodrik can't even walk anymore. let alone march north to Highpoint, through Bolton lands. Plus if they pass the wall it's going to be the same mess as with Gared. Don' t forget winter is coming, the wildlings and, worse, the white walkers march South. So Asher/Rodrik can't get to the north grove. Or it would be an amazingly hard job. I'd call that suicide. Well, the safer way to get there is to march north/west, take a boat, then get north. No whitehills, boltons, wildlingss, white walkers. But the grove as you see it in EP6 is a Dangerous place. I wouldn't risk the Forrester's lives to hold it. It's basically Gared's job. I think Asher/Rodrik, Talia, Ryon, Beskha are safer with Malcolm in the warm Essos with their new ally, the pretty dragon queen.

Amaya decides to "piss on surrender", wanting them to "choke on your blade". everyone is pissed and angry for Rodrik's murder, and if you think calling off the plan saves peace, you're wrong because Elissa will Attack Ludd herself, initiating the ambush. So you have a whitehill ass beatdown whatever you choose. And a good thing too. Vengeance, sweet vengeance.
My biggest regret was ambush the Whitehills, i was so piss for Rodrik, so i just did it and i feel every ally's death on me, i felt arrogant… more for thought i can win this, and the worse is the fact that i felt like the villain, giving all the reason to the Whitehills to raze Ironrath, to be true i was wishing death to myself, and i said to my sentinel to save himself.
She convinced me. Barely. Could actually save Asher if they encounter bloodthirsty whitehills on their way. But at least you have a Dangerous warrior (Royland/Duncan) by your side. Could come in handy, especially in the condition you're in.
Part of me regrets not having Asher agree to (try to) marry Gwyn. I think she could be a potentially strong ally in Season 2, but I just couldn't rationalize Asher agreeing to it after the Whitehills got two of his brothers killed.
Regret giving Britt mercy after realising he fucking dies anyway and the player will get the same treatment no matter what, and also regret submitting to Gryff and not maiming him when later on realising Ramsay would still say I showed no mercy and would still kill Arthur

Well since the red wedding being Lord Forrester means being a dead man. The house is ruined, but we can hope to have an opportunity to rebuild in S2. Asher is a victim in any case. He loses his father, little brother, either his life or Rodrik, then his mother; and can even lose Mira. You can't blame the man who suffered so so much to do his duty and make the bastards pay. The only regret I'd have if I were you is to lose an important ally: Gwyn Whitehill.

Call off the plan will make Asher a victim rather than a perpetrator (unless he is manipulator guy), but in any ways, be the lord sucks.
