Impressions of season 1
Hello all,
So i just finished season 1, late to the party I know. Anyways, I was overall disappointed w/ the ending of the game. I found it odd that Mira's story arc was more in tone of that of the show. I remember feeling before the beheading thinking, nah they aren't gonna allow this? Right!? Am sure many felt a sense of hopelessness however, I found it pretty sweet that I made that choice. Never the less, the true ending of that of the house Forrester was left rather tasteless. No matter how you try to change the outcome it came out that you lose the house, and pretty much everyone else gets owned. We get the illusion that we could save our home and the outcome is degrading. I understand that they wanted to keep it cold like the show but we could have easily paid the price in season 2 right? If this really is a Telltale game, we should be able to choose the ending we want to see. Then of course the staff can punish the gamer later on. As a fan of the show I can say that this really came close to watching our beloved show, gratz 2 the writers. Visuals were also lazy as they really just added a water brush effect to the true and tired game engine they have been using for far 2 long. Quick time events were also lacking this time around compared that 2 say Wolf among us. Hopefully in season 2, they can use a new engine, better QTE's, more interacting, ending that can be altered, and more crossovers w/ the show. Overall season one may not be worth a full price but at a sale you cannot go wrong as this is as close as your gonna get to watching the damn show lol. This is a great interactive game that critics are being way too harsh on.

I agree with all of this. The whole point of the game was to save House Forrester from falling. And since this is a choice based game it should have been a lose/win outcome. Choices such as making the guards stay outside the gate(saving Ethan), sparing the traitor(saving Asher/Rodrik), and hiding the knife(saving Mira) would have prevented their fall. I hope Telltale will have multiple paths in Season 2. But if that's not the case I will still play it anyway.
The game is awesome. You get invested on the story, you get invested on the characters, they decided to make a Second Season so the outcome does not really bother me, the game is just how GOT should be, I mean, not everything are flowers, if you want to win you have to know that this will not be easy, you have to fight, you have to lose, you have to do what you can for the family, just fight as well as you can and get prepared for the next Season, we lost a single battle, but this war is only beginning and I will have the final say on it. When I first heard that TTG was going to work with the GOT universe all I could thought was "Woooww, what you choose to speak could not matter more than this!" And I was not disappointed at all by the results of it. The game is a masterpiece, totally underrated. To be honest? I do not even expect that we HAVE to retake our ancestral seat soon. In other words, I lost by now and I still feel excited by my current situation, if the game could do that to someone like me, is because it is a hell of a story. We are all excited for Season Two so lets wait, and to those who are bothered by the defeat in Season One remember: "If you want justice, you've come to the wrong place."
I'm with chusets, I loved it to death, although i think maybe a wider impact from some choices might be nice. The rodrik/asher choice and mira does or doesn't die, is a good case of how its done right, at least in my humble opinion.
Well GOT is like that already
I chosed Asher to live, let Rodrik behind, i did ambush the whitehills, killed Gryff and lost Ironrath to them.. i think (after all the negative comments i've read on this community) that it was a very Stark way to end the first season, losing "winterfell" (Ironrath) hell... I decided to march south with Gared and Gregor's Bastards, , I find Gared's storyline to be very much like Jon Snow's (Or should i say targaryen?) the "bastard" that went to the wall to "help" his family and ends up being fuck (in a "good" way) by the Night's Watch, idk if I should wait for season 2 to come, or just Re-play it letting Rodrik to live, the only thing i know is that this game is AWESOME.
Yes, i know my english sucks, but you get the point.
I know right?
Cheers.
