Silly twist episode 3 spoilers
So....
Hopefully they explain how vale has all this king fu shizzle.
How she can take on batman one on one and win, batman needed help from cat women lol
Every punch I threw she laughed it off and did silly ninja stuff
And where did she get all her equipment from.
It just seemed like that picked the least obvious person and ignores the logic behind it just for a twist

What?
I was kinda expecting her to say her real name was Talia to be honest
Hopefully they explain how Vicki Vale has all this king fu shizzle.
How she can take on batman, one on one and win!?!?! Batman needed help from cat women lol.
Every punch I threw she laughed it off and did silly ninja stuff.
Where she got all her equipment from?
It just seemed like they picked the least obvious person and ignored the logic behind why it wouldn't make any sense, just so they could have a shocking twist.
That would actually make sense. It wouldn't seem so far out of left field, It would also explain why she would be a skilled fighter but even then she wouldn't be able to face Batman one on one and win.
It just seemed very silly.
I thought so as well. I am not familiar with Lady Arkham. Is she a character in the comics?
Hummm... how about maybe that'll all be explained and clarified in future episodes? I dunno. I guess they should've just given us all the information about her right away, taking away all the shock, tension, suspense and credibility of the scene. That'd be a lot better! /s
Seriously, what is it with all these nitpicks about the leader's revelation? It was a goddamn cliffhanger. They're suposed to leave people in suspense, wanting more. Wanting answers! Answers that'll surely be answered in the continuation of the story on future instalments.
How exactly did you expect the writters to manage to get Lady Arkham's backstory and motivations explained in the 2.67 seconds Bruce was still conscious enough to talk? And if you could manage to do that, do you think that wouldn't break the all the tension and the suspense the scene left us in? Do you think that'd be good storytelling? To just have Vicki randomly explain her life story and money incomes right there?
Seriously, wait for the story to play out, and THEN make your judgment.
Nah made up for this game.
Maybe they will have a very intense backstory for her to explain where she became such a impressive fighter.
We are also heading to Arkham Asylum in the next episode, where we will probably learn about her backstory, her name is Lady Arkham after all.
I am wondering if she is Oswald's mother, but that is a far fetch theory.
I think she is too young to be his mother?
Well yeah as I said above they may explain it, hopefully it is a explanation that is good enough to justify the silly switch in her character, the fact that she was easily able to better Batman in a fight (batman who has masted every martial art in the 853rd century, and has telepathic martial arts, not from powers but skill.) yet she was able to easily block his shots, laugh and even get past his defense.
She even won.
Maybe the twist is she is Lady Shiva.
That would make more sense.
Thanks, man.
But my theory is: she's the child of Ra's al Ghul.
This could be like Batman Begins, where they dump this nerve agent into the water supply and make everyone go crazy and shit.
Maybe we'll meet him in Episode 4.
Someone else mentioned that.
I think that would be a damn awesome twist actually.
Lady Arkham is a real Batman character, shes just really unknown.
I was thinking it might Talia Al Ghul too. Maybe they took Vicki Vale hostage or they are only using it as a cover name. Let's hope Bruce gets to kick her ass. Lol.
As I said, far fetch. But considering that Buckbuster exist in this setting, it wouldn't be too far fetch to believe that some experiment might have been done on Oswald's mother that gave her a youth appearance.
I like to believe that this Batman is still young and inexperienced in some area. He hasn't reached the point where he is an unstoppable martial artist.
Just because he is like that in the comics, he might not be here in this setting.
Well Lady Arkham was always a name for Shiva. But I doubt TellTale will make her be Shiva. Vicki Vale might be a better pick for Lady Arkham!
Let's say it is Lady Shiva would Bruce recognize her because I think she trained in the League of Shadows along with Bruce?
Just as Dave said, this is a still unexperienced Batman. I believe he's been doing this vigilante parade for maybe 6 months? The townspeople seemed to still see him as something relatively new to town, therefore he hasn't had many opportunities to practice his martial skills on people that are actually trying to kill him.
There's also the fact that Lady Arkham had some really rad gadgets. She had flying boots! FLYING. BOOTS. xD
And I don't doubt that whatever beef Vicky has with Wayne, Hill and Falcone came from something Arkham Asylum did to her or her relatives at a relatively young age. They are called Children of Arkham afterall. I'm sure most of them had this hatred and obsession toward them all since they were little. Wouldn't it be believable that she started taking martial arts classes since she was young? Wouldn't it be also believable that many of the Children of Arkham are skilled scientists and hackers? Which would explain the source of the money for the gadgets (hackers) and the refined and complex chemichals (scientists). Vicky may be the leader, but we've seen that there are a lot of Children of Arkham. She's obviously been getting helped.
Obsession and hatred can make any sociopath such as Vicki acomplish almost anything. They'll use any means they deem necessary. They'll manipulate anyone they need to acomplish their goal. And I guess that's the key to Vicki's sucess.
Now, the real question is, what exactly happened in Arkham Asylum that led Vicki and the other Children to do this? It'll surely be explained, of that I have no doubt.
(This is obviously assumptions and predictions, I'm not claiming any of this is a fact.)
Anyways, I'm just a Batman noob here amazed by this great setting and universe. Maybe I'm hyping the story way too much because it's my first Batman experience. I'm just not seeing the unforgivable inconsistensy and impossibility about this Vicki twist.
Oh and I'd be terribly disappointed if they just go ahead and insert some random original Batman vilain which backstory will only be known by people who have ties to the other Batman media. I don't know who the hell Shiva is, and if Vicki is indeed that woman, I hope they explain who that is. 'Cause some players will have no clue.
I kinda like the idea of her being related to Oz in some way, maybe more like a sister-- one he never knew about growing up, who was either an inmate or had some other awful tie to Arkham. I am wondering how they crossed paths otherwise, and then decided to go in together on this plot. Hmmm, I guess the road signs are all leading to Arkham in some way regardless, so Ep 4 should be a doozy.
That is true you make some good points
Hopefully they can explain how they can trick me into thinking Vale is a legitimate romantic option and then smash me upside the head with this crap!!!
Probably we will get an explanation about this, since a reporter shouldn't be able to take us on a fight
I think her gadgets massively aided her in the fight. Batman have no knowledge about it and was thus unprepared.
Why do you want an explanation immediately? There are still 2 episodes left, plenty of time for Telltale to clarify everything.
But could she take on a billionaire rich guy?
Feel like a lot of people are like this at the moment... (including me a little).
I don't understand what makes this a silly twist? We don't know anything about Vicki's past (in telltale verse, idk anything about the comics), so how about people just let the story explain how Vicki has become the supervillain she is now. If the explanation isn't satisfying then yeah, I'm all for calling that out, but right now it just seems like some people are triggered that the story managed to surprise them.
