***** is defo not the leader of the children of arkham

Vicki has no reason to hate the rich considering she probs makes a fair bit reporting
and what if batman hadn't been their to save her when cobblepot was shooting at her, it a bit of a big risk to take all things considered(unless she is no alone)-which i believe

  • Some people have not yet played Episode 3 (or even the series) due to delayed releases on various platforms, so I have removed the direct spoiler from your title.

  • Apparently her parents, or one of her parents, were sent to Arkham by Thomas Wayne, so she grew to hate Bruce and rich people by extension, not necessarily for their faults, but for benefiting of someone else's misfortune, whether they knew it or not.

  • Remember, this is TellTale's take on it so I think she just might be the leader. I am a little suspicious about the reveal being early, but at the debate why else would Penguin pick her to moderate? I think it was all apart of the plan. It made no sense for Penguin to kill the moderator and use a random reporter. Vale isn't anyone special, she's just always there.

  • She could be although I don't think she is. She doesn't fit the build entirely. She's supposed to be an unbiased reporter not take sides.

  • This is Telltale's Vicky, and in this universe being a reporter is just a front for her.

  • I don't think she's "defo not" the leader. This is Telltale's unique take on Batman after all, one where Vicki might as well be a supervillain. I'm pretty sure we'll find out her motivations later.

  • Dude, did you ever consider that Vicki may have had someone close to her be a victim of Thomas Wayne?

Remember, TTG can change whatever they want and do whatever they want with the characters in their games. Including making Vicki, Lady Arkham.

  • Exactly! The same way being Bruce Wayne is a front for Batman. (Or maybe it's the other way around.... I dunno)

This is Telltale's Vicky, and in this universe being a reporter is just a front for her.

  • One detail that people seem to miss is that we actually do learn Vicki's motivation, it's just that most people chose either "You're with the Children of Arkham!" or "You won't get away with this!". If you choose "How could you?" instead, Vicki will answer, "Retribution, Bruce."

It's like Batman said (in one of your dialogue options) when he's being interviewed by Vicki: The Children of Arkham are terrorists, but they didn't become terrorists without cause. They're the manifestation of a rage brought about by the unpunished crimes of Gotham's aristocratic elite, and even if Bruce wasn't responsible for those crimes, he's been relegated to the position of whipping boy simply because he inherited the wealth that was wrung from them.

  • Where did you learn this?

    Woops. Never mind.

  • I'm sorry, I realize the comment wasn't very clear. Telltale has created a totally different Vicky Vale for its universe, making her an original villain, non existent in any other Batman series. What I just said is just speculation, I could be wrong.

  • I'm still not convinced we're getting the real story about Thomas Wayne either, but if all of this is true then this is a drastically different Batman than we're used to in other media.
