The last episode has been somewhere around September which is why we will see how the future comes for MCSM
If there were to be more Minecraft, it would continue as a Season 2, meaning it would go back to Episode 1, not continue as Episode 9.
Minecraft Story Mode: Adventure Pack 2: Bonus 8 episodes!
Most Telltale Seasons stop at 5 or 6 episodes. Minecraft was a special exception in that it got three bonus episodes, but that is not super common. They do not continually release episodes for a game. If anything else comes out, it will be in the form of a second Season as MetallicaRules said.
Well I mean like the 9th episode of all of MCSM itself but yes it is basically season 2 episode 1
