What did you feel about ****** leaving...?

It pretty much spoilt the fun for me, specially because that scene was so rushed. She literally just told bruce that she'll leave and her car arrives, poof, she's gone and the scene ends.

Someone questioned ttg about the same and about her return in ep5, they tweeted:

I wish she comes back. And what 'business' do you think she had for which she left? Will she come in ep5 or in a possible s2?

  • I didn't think much of it. I was just like "that sucks but I get it, hope I see you again"

  • I'm sure she'll come back in episode 5 in a big way, though I think the glitch that cut out a lot of the possible dialogue options with her hurt that scene quite a bit.

  • Im sure she will appear in episode 5, she is to big a character to just throw out in a way like that, which is half the reason why it sucked that she was in the episode for one minute.

If I had to guess, whatever Selina is doing is actually important to the main story.

And as a stretch but possible if Telltale really wants to pull some kind of plot twist, Selina is still working with the Children of Arkham. If you think about it, it could work. Something along the lines of the Children were using Selina to get close to Bruce/Batman to learn more about him. It could possibly explain why Vicki let Batman and Catwoman leave the train depot. Im explaining this pretty badly, but I wouldnt be super surprised if Telltale pulls a "Selina was working with the Children the whole time!" but then she betrays them and joins us.

  • I honestly didn't care too much although I never try to get too invested in one character to the point where it'll spoil something for me (plus I didn't care too much about Selina, I am the 9%).

  • I wasnt too much invested in her character but I do hope she has a conclusion in episode 5

  • "Wow, really? Okay whatever."

  • She is much nicer if you told her to get the fuck out of Gotham. She shows genuine compassion and care.
Maybe Telltale will tale example from writers who have made of Catwoman much more than a mindless thief, I certainly hope so.

  • It could make saving her or Harvey, and going forward with a romance between her and Bruce, a decisive factor in her loyalty towards you in episode 5.

Since I love to try to feel how the character I'm playing is feeling, so I can relate to the game more.
I've felt really bad, specially because I'm playing a Batman that fell in love with her, Bruce was being hated by everyone, Batman too, Harvey and Vicki betrayed him, he was sent to Arkham Asylum, Harvey losing it more and more, and then Selina just leaves you like that, it was the cherry of the cake.

I am sure she will come back in Ep 5, but Bruce could have died in Ep 4, for example when Harvey sends those cops to kill you, she could have helped, yet, she just abandons you when you most need her.

  • I like your idea. Then we would have the idea of forgiving her or not, and depending on how you behaved with her she could betray the children of arkham.

  • That would be terrible then, why would anyone save Harvey? Harvey goes mad anyway, and Selina leaves you in EP 4 and you can sitll sleep with her in Ep3 no matter what you did.
if they are going to make the debate an important decision for Selina, they should do the same for Harvey.

  • I didn't like it but I understand it, she was in danger with Harvey around. However there are two reasons I think she'll come back:

1.Harvey isn't around anymore (determinant), so she can be back in Gotham without problems

2.Even if he is around in your playthrough (as he is in mine) he doesn't know she is catwoman, so she could return as catwoman to help Batman and Harvey wouldn't know she is around

So either way she leaves Gotham. And you only get one small scene with Selena. I mean it's good that she doesn't stay in the Wayne Manor when it's burning (in my playthrough at least), but I think Telltale could have made Selena stay and had her character done more.

  • Ahem the CoA still want her head, at least from what we know.
She might very well round a few angles with them I guess unless their professional relationship is damaged beyond repair.

From what we've seen Selina in Telltale is not unlike any other rendition of the character : self-serving, without morals and ready to throw anyone under the bus (including a loyal Bruce) if that means more zeros on her paycheck.

I hope we will have the option of taking her down. I've come to realize she is too much of a dangerous loose end to let her plunder Gotham.

I hope she comes back in episode 5 because I really love her character and I missed her through the whole fourth episode.

I hope there was a good reason for her to leave... A lot of character development would be wasted in my opinion, If she really just left because she is "scared" of Harvey.

  • If you love something...let it go...if it returns yadda yadda. Selina is going to do what Selina is going to do...always has been like this.

It depends on whether or not that was a final appearance.

It would be disappointing if that was her final appearance in the game, and would render all the previous choices involving her pointless. It would also be a really lame sendoff for a major (and popular) character.

I would hope that she returns as a potential ally in Episode 5, depending on how Bruce interacted with her.

  • This is Telltale's universe. They are free to create the Catwoman they want and it does not have to be how she has been portrayed in other mediums.
My Bruce still has faith in her in spite of her being grey area.

    My Bruce has, too. ;)

  • Such an incredibly well put together scene.
I wish Episode 4 was as polished.

The Selina-Bruce interaction throughout the whole first episode is majestic.

  • I didn't mind, I understood where she was coming from. Besides, I rather her be safe somewhere. She only gets hurt when she does something against her instincts. Harvey's lost it, and well, I ruined things but blame her damn cat.

  • Their scene in ep4, on the other hand, was shit and rushed and really bad

  • I can't disagree there. Telltale dropped the ball something fierce.
