Character deaths?

Anyone think episode 5 will be a big ending featuring a bad guys death or a few?

I see Harvey dying since the different choices you made with him probably won't be carried over into season 2.

Maybe a vicki death as well

  • As far as i know it'd be kind of hard for Harvey to die in my game since i already sent him to prison.

  • Well prison is a pretty dangerous place. Some people died in Arkham while you were there.

  • Hmmm

    That is true.

I wonder if if you send Harvey or Pengs to prison they won't die but whoever you didn't go after will in ep5?

  • I can see Lady Arkham's life ending Ep5. Not directly Batman's doing.

  • If this series were directed by Zack Snyder and we were playing as BvS Batman, then Penguin, Two-Face and Vicky would already be dead, and the final-episode boss would be Joker riding on Killer Croc's back ... because, EPIC violence. lol

  • It would go down something like.....this :

  • Yeah... I also go with "Vicky will die".

  • Aw they cut the laugh at the end.

If Vicky's figured out Batman's identity, then she's definitely dead by the end of the episode.

I've been wondering if your choices regarding whether to take out Penguin or Two-Face in episode 4 will decide which of them lives by the end of the season and which of them figures out Batman's identity, which might lead to them dying shortly afterwards.

I'd rather they at least live no matter what because I'm not that big on killing off villains, especially when this Batman's Rogues Gallery is only slowly starting to form.

  • I can totally see Vicki dying, but not by Bruce's hands. Though maybe that could be up to the player.

I'd, personally, like to see a "Justice or Vengeance" type of choice with Vicki. Either send her to prison where she belongs or kill her.

If Harvey dies in my Episode 5, I'll sob hysterically tbh. I just wanna save that poor guy ;-; Same goes for Penguin, though he's already been taken care of in my main/canon game. I'd still hate to see him die in my alt-choices save. Though his potential death could be quite interesting.

  • "It's just called Two Brothers."

Aw they cut the laugh at the end.

  • I was hoping to redeem Harvey in my walkthrough. Maybe redemption by death would be the closest thing. Saving Batman from Lady Arkham, but dies in the process

Nooooooo! How could you!?! Don't speak of Oz or Vicki dying, let alone Harvey! I only have one heart, and once it shatters, there's no collecting and piecing together the fractured shards!

Although on a serious note, (Nah, I'm being completely solemn, unfortunately. If Harvey dies, my eyes will cry) a part of me could see any of those three meeting their end. There could be a really powerful scene with either Vicki, Oz, or Harvey, completed only by their emotional demise. I'm assuming that in this hypothetical scenario the death of Oz/Harvey would result if you chose to not take them down in Guardian of Gotham. A scene that highlights the various ways in which Bruce and Vicki are two sides of the same coin, followed by an intense confrontation with Vicki, which ends with her (possibly determinant?) death could prove impactful. Although I do hope that the stakes don't become that extreme. I believe that their cause is justified, and I regard every antagonist with much sympathy. The antagonists in this game no doubt carried out some questionable actions, and I may not exactly "like" all of them, yet I understand their intent, and I truly hope there are some opportunities to make things turn out slightly less ugly. For if any characters die, we do not riot! We spam that on a message board, as we sit alone in a dark room crying for five hours straight!

  • It really depends on how isolated this season's storyline will be from potential future seasons, but yeah, if anyone dies I reckon it's going to be Vicki, given Lady Arkham is an original Telltale villain. Harvey and Penguin will probably end up in Arkham/Blackgate, so that they can be brought back whenever necessary (probably by Joker).

If the story arc doesn't conclude this season and carries over to season 2, then it's possible we'll have a negative unresolved ending with Harvey or Penguin still in control of Gotham and Bruce having to lay low, but I still feel like Lady Arkham will be out of the picture by then.

    Only five hours?

If Harvey dies, I'll be crying in a dark room for a whole month.

  • I can see Vicki being something similar to Batman Begins with a "Im not going to kill you, but I dont have to save you" type deal.

  • Am I the only one who's hoping that Vicki doesn't die?

  • I'm worried he might die if you don't go to Wayne Manor but, I don't know, that burn looked far worse than the one Falcone had. I just want to get Harvey's best ending.

  • That's always seemed like splitting hairs to me. Letting someone die is pretty much killing them.

  • Same.

I have two save files set up for E5, and I'm praying that at least one of them will be good for him xD

Though, if Wayne Manor ends up being Harvey's "good" ending, I'd be extremely upset. It'd make every pro-Harvey choice feel pointless.

  • You are not the only one. I think she suffered long enough through her life. It's best to give her what she wants.

  • I think she wants Bruce dead.

  • True. I hope the game gives us an option to convince her not killing Bruce.

  • Possibly I can see Vicki dying to connect the dots of Batman Begins Now. That'd be cool if we could pretend that this is canon.

  • The main reason I hope she doesn't die is because they are both very similar people, they should keep her alive to show how the same scenario can have two different outcomes - I mean, Bruce could've ended up being Lord Arkham and Vicki could've become Batwoman had Bruce not had Alfred's moral guidance and it seems like the Vales might've been abusive parents.

True. I hope the game gives us an option to convince her not killing Bruce.
