  • Sparknotes are for the intellectually inferior, comrade.

  • Another good clip from Jordan B. Peterson.

"There's no evidence that there's any relationship between intelligence and morality."

  • Yeah I know, but I didn't care, as long as I got a good grade and didn't have to read some book that was going to put me to sleep. However, when I saw 1984 on my reading list for that year, I knew that I was definitely going to read that.

For those who followed the Syrian Civil War like I do, or don't, I guess, here are some articles I thought were interesting.

I also have this one, which well is frankly unrelated but hey, I thought it was some neat stuff to catch up on.

Lately, I've felt really depressed and I'm not sure why. I've also found that I'm talking to the "voices" in my head a lot more often than I was before, which is kinda freaking me out. I guess they're not really voices, but I'm unsure what else to call them. They're sort of, like, characters that I created as a way to cope with the overwhelming intrusive thoughts. They also kinda help with the weird feeling of loneliness that I get from time to time.

I keep telling myself that it's all part of the healing process, but idk. It's just a sucky time, I guess.

    Sorry for venting.

  • Vent all you want, I'm sure no one minds.

  • Holy hell, you're alive.

    Good to see you, man!

I'm not sure why I decided to return to this forum. Nostalgia maybe.

When you go to your new class for the semester but you see that the class is full of the kids that failed first semester geomety when you got an A.

    ...

Yeah, they stuck me in a repeat class. I spent an hour and a half getting my schedule changed. -_-

  • PC's working again, really well too. Issue is that my 2 months worth of work on the video is all gone.

  • What difficulty did you beat it on?

I just beat the Last of Us remastered. Now I'm trying to figure out whether or not I wanna do new game plus so I can get some trophies I missed. EDIT: I just started new game plus.

  • Talking to made up characters in your head is human nature look at religion

  • The same difficulty I play all my games on: normal.

What difficulty did you beat it on?

  • playing Star Wars Knights of the old Republic it better doesn't crash this time sees glitches happening

  • Personally Sam & Max S1 is my favorite. Even with the rose tinted glasses off. I love episode 1 because it's the first time you experience every interaction, checking out every item in the office, exploring the neighborhood, it's nice. The cases are kind of connected but they still feel like their own thing, which is something that kinda stops after midway S2.

  • Wow look at the beta pussy over here playin' on normal. My first TLOU playthrough was on hard.

Kidding of course. But yeah, I'd recommend playing NG+. Story sucks much more second time through but the gameplay is all the more rewarding. Definitely recommend playing it on Hard Mode though, Hard Mode increases the overall enjoyment of the experience quite a bit.

It's a good, if long read. I took it down in October when our power was knocked out by the hurricane. The good news is that it's actually not that archaic or difficult to read.

Interestingly enough, Adam Smith paved the way for Socialist economics too, as he came up with the Labor Theory of Value, which was later expanded upon by Ricardo and Marx.

  • I really hope the Kurds don't get betrayed. Rojava is turning into something great, despite existing under the constant shadow of war.

  • Yo I love the shit out of that game. Even though the first one is really easy to get through, no matter the difficulty, I just rolled a dual wield soldier and went flat damage with very little force powers, killed everything in a couple of seconds. The characters and story are amazing though, as expected from Bioware.

I liked the second one even more, the difficulty was ramped up and your companions were actually more than "2 people who follow you around and a bunch of people who stay in your ship for the entire game". I rolled a consular that time around and fooling around with the force powers was a lot of fun. I loved the dark turn they took with this game, and the ending definitely wasn't as bad as people made it out to be, add TSLRCM into the mix and you got a solid RPG.

  • OMG, this was such a bad day. My step-father was walking on the streets and he got himself in trouble and was beaten up by an angry motherfucker. I'm glad the police came in time and arrested him and my father can barely walk. I was so fucking worried.

  • Damn, I hope your step-father recovers soon.

  • My first playthrough was on hard mode, and I'm only playing on NG+ so I can record/stream some footage of it for future reference, so I set it on easy. Which was a terrible mistake because easy mode is absolute shit. Especially after playing on hard mode. It's beyond easy and I've unrealistically never been low on supplies.

A cunt who just doesn't know how to pay attention on the road and was blaming my father for just walking on pedestrian crossing. There was a father and a son. The son was using a fucking hatchet on him. Thank God he didn't use it on his head but on his knee. Glad they got caught and arrested.

    EDIT: Forgot to say thanks

What's especially scary about 731 is that nobody was ever punished for it, unlike the Holocaust

The beginning part gives me shivers. BTW, I have looked up Unit 731.

  • I wouldn't say scary.

    Detestable maybe.

No information is worth that amount of suffering. No crimes worth such forgiveness at a material level.
