I have the DVD of the concert in my iTunes library, and I have never noticed a feature like that. I also own the CD, and I agree, there are a lot of similarities between metal and classical.
They made a DVD of it, too, where you can supposedly play tricks like listen to only one of them at a time (either Metallica or the San Fran… morecisco Symphony Orchestra). I say "supposedly" because I didn't get it, but I have the CD set. Metal and classical have more in common than most people think.

Yeah, Season 1's OST is pretty strong but it doesn't hold a candle to 2 and 3. I swear to god man Stars gets me to cry every time. Avant Gardener is pretty good too, although I guess it kind of speaks to me because of the lyrics about asthma and being an asthmatic myself it's nice to have a song reflecting the issue in a goofy light hearted way.
Which episode was Avant Gardener used on? The Season 2 finale? I forget, I mainly remember Sea of Dreams, Stars, and Parade as the ones that really stand out - especially Parade. Man, that ending sequence with Parade is a god damn gut-punch, especially when you take into consideration what happens the next episode. The scene with Stars playing in the Season 3 was really poignant, but the last few episodes of Season 2 were just friggin brutal.

Agreed man. Episode 11 of Season 2 was devastating. You don't want to hate Bojack, but he does some really questionable things sometimes and that hurts, especially the consequences of his actions.
The scene with Stars playing in the Season 3 was really poignant, but the last few episodes of Season 2 were just friggin brutal.
I'd honestly say the last 3 episodes of Season 3 were probably the most emotionally devastating. He finally ruined his friendship with Todd, Sarah Lynn died, He tried to pick his life back up again and it failed, his daughter is somewhere out there and he may never meet her and because of his actions he's all alone now. That scene where he talks about the fact that he's poison broke me man. It was already pushing me enough that Sarah Lynn died in such a hurtful way, but that speech he gave fucking killed me.
