Should've been there for the stubby beer bottle battle of '84.

While that is a joke, the stubby is part of Canadian history.

More seriously, some upscale stores do carry Coke imported from Mexico, because it uses real cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, and all the Coke aficionados think they can tell the difference.

And you can always get it in aluminum.

Great little interview with Yoko Taro
    http://www.glixel.com/interviews/qa-...o-yoko-w472664

    Glixel:
Has your view on game development matured over the years as you've gotten older?

    Yoko Taro:
When I was young, I had one wish from the bottom of my heart: "I wish all the useless and controlling elders of the gaming industry would die so I can create a game that I like!" Now that I have fulfilled my dream to "create a game that I like," there's not much left for me to do. However, because I don't have much else to do now, I am clinging onto my job as a game director. In a way, I'm just living out of habit now. And now, I have become that troublesome elder that I hated when I was young. Like a demon king in an RPG, I feel like I'm clinging to my castle of authority all alone and waiting for a new hero to come slay me.

  • You know the old saying, "birds of a feather flock together", well with that being said, what is it about phony people that seems to bind them together, and they'll still hang out with each other?

  • The news has confirmed that a police officer was killed.

A dozen of others were injured upon being struck by a vehicle.

My thoughts goes out to the people of London.

  • I think it is important that we commend the heroes of this day and do our best to praise them while not giving any attention to the attacker, or their motivations, since that is likely what they would want.

Tobias Ellwood comes to mind when thinking of one such person to praise specifically. He is a politician who found himself on the scene and instead of fleeing to avoid facing danger he attempted to save the life of the injured police officer by administering CPR.

Found this really cool fan art of Roger Waters doing Pink Floyd's The Wall tour in 1980. They even got the headphones he used in the shows right, man. I dunno, I liked the art-style and I envy anyone that can draw since anything I draw looks like a first grader's average stick figure.

I just went through a streak of horrible glitches in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. This fucking shit heap of a game by Ubisoft.

There's a mission where you gotta follow a guy with a vehicle and protect him from attacking enemies. I did this mission more than 20 times because of the retarded ass AI this dipshit had. Not only did he keep getting himself killed or walk into enemy fire, at one point I actually managed to clear out an area of enemies and would be able to escort the guy for a bit without any interruptions. But then seconds after that he disappeared from existence mid-driving and I failed the mission.

Then on the way to another mission on top of a mountain, I got to the area but there was a huge wall surrounding it so I had to circle the place to find an entrance. But then I fell through a part of the mountain and was glitched inside a small area. I couldn't get out so I had to kill myself and respawn again.

Then later on I had to get to another target and interrogate him. It took me almost 20 minutes to get to this guy as I wiped out most of the map of enemies. But then when I got to him he saw me and ran... into a wall and got stuck in the wall. Then whilst in the wall he alerted the remaining so in my frustration I killed him. So I had to restart, but it sent me all the way back to the start of the mission, 2km away from the area. Then when I got back I cleared the entrance of enemies. But for SOME FUCKING REASON, two enemies SPAWNED RIGHT BEHIND ME AND ALERTED THE WHOLE AREA. Then I died.

So I had to redo everything AGAIN and when I got there I did the same thing, cleared the entrance of enemies. But then an enemy spawned right in front of me. Luckily I killed him just in time. But when I turned around I noticed ALL of my teammates were down. They were all standing on a train track the whole time and got run over at some point so I had to revive all of them myself.

Lemme guess -- the El Pulpo mission where you take him to the airport?

Yeah, watching that I knew it would be a nightmare to play. Cliché zombies are more intelligent than the AI in this game. e_e

  • I've been going out with this woman for about a month. She's a nice gal and I really like her. The only thing is, her and her ex-boyfriend are still in contact and are still friends; not that there's anything wrong with that in and of itself, but the thing is she promised his son that she'd take him out shooting at the gun range, since he can't do it, and asked me if I'd be willing to come along in order to help keep the kid in check.

(The kid is 15 years old by the way.)

While I don't have any problem with the kid, I don't see why I should have to help babysit another guy's kid, especially when that guy use to go out with the woman I am currently dating.

I told her that while I do not have a problem with the kid, I'm not comfortable with the idea of playing babysitter to the son of girlfriend's ex-boyfriend. And therefore will not being doing so. I made sure I said it in a very kind way, yet I also stood my ground and was firm about it.

Am I being unreasonable? And is it even reasonable for her to ask me to do that in the first place?

  • It was okay for her to ask, but you was also completely justified in saying no.
