From what I heard, Bioshock 2 is considered to be the worst Bioshock game.

  • It'll be fine. You might wanto watch/read a synopsis of the first one though.

I just grabbed Bioshock 2. Will I be able to play it straight away and understand the story or should I play Bioshock 1 first?

  • Not that a whole lot of people care, but it's video game news.

As you may have heard, Bioware recently repurposed their secondary studio(Montreal) from solo game development back to support. You may also have heard that they have delayed their journey into Online Multiplayer by up to a year.

What is new: There is currently a large list of production job openings at their primary studio in Edmonton(artists, animators, programmers, designers). There's been no word of them scrapping the new game as-is nor a mass-firing. Either something catastrophic happened with the new IP, or they're going to be working on something else.

Are they really nixing Mass Effect: Andromeda DLC plans(that wasn't officially cancelled; Just assumed with the Montreal news)?

What to do? So are they going to not do DLC and have fans wait 4-5 years between single player games? Are they going to try and juggle DLC, new IP production, and Dragon Age pre-production all within one studio?

I wish them the best of luck because I have a strange feeling that the latter is what's going on. While a lot of folks think they should "cut their loses"(even though Andromeda didn't completely bomb financially), EA and Bioware like to keep the train rolling like nothing is wrong.

  • To say it is the worst of them is something I agree with. Even so, it is not a bad game. The story is less compelling (not downright dogshit as some would have you believe), but overall good.

With that said, having the first one under your belt helps. It isn't necessary, but I recommend it for a better understanding of the small references abound in the game to the first.

Well, they didn't have Bioshock 1 at the shops... I've played some pretty bad games in my life, I think I can handle it... I just want to know if it may ruin the experience of playing 1 or 2 if I played 2 first?

  • If you get the chance, I heartily recommend the Minerva's Den DLC for BioShock 2 once you complete the main game. It is honest to god one of the best DLC's I have ever played.

It's mostly people bickering about current events and Trump in particular since the inauguration. There used to be more discussions of political theory and issues, though to be fair, the thread was much less active.

  • YES! I would love a remake of Twinsanity. In my opinion, that's the best Crash game thats not a part of the original trilogy.

Or just a brand-new Crash game would be awesome. I really hope this game is successful!

  • Twinsanity was amazing! I played that one to death. Crash Team Racing was also another favorite of mine.

Yeah, I really hope they do decide to give Crash a brand new game because he definitely deserves one!

I'm actually devastated about his death.

I listened to a lot of his music when I was experiencing one of my toughest times in life during my youth. He was my favorite artist for quite some time. He had an amazing voice and he was a great personality overall. Such a humble performer and a kind man.

I was shocked to hear that he apparently hanged himself. But it just goes to show, people can hide their pain inside themselves.
