Today, June 6th, 2017, marks the 73rd anniversary of Operation Overlord, aka D-Day. Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy in the largest seaborne invasion in history, officially commencing the 2nd phase of the Western Front during World War II.
I know this is quite old, but I've only just discovered it a few days ago. I've really been captivated by this story recently.
Sesame Stree… moret, the educational children's show on PBS, introduced its first Autistic Muppet a few months ago (Julia). I'm not autistic, (though I do have a cousin who is, but I don't know him all that well) and haven't watched that show in ages (because, well, I'm nowhere near the age of 3), but this really gave me a heartwarming feeling. Introducing a character who has a mental disorder such as this that has affected many people, but putting it on a television program such as this to educate viewers as well as contribute to the society of the show. I think this is a bold, but wonderful move.
I congratulate them for bringing this to television, and doing it well. They need to have the puppeteer know exactly how to act, and not have it come off as rude or shameful.
Here's a news story about it as well as a clip from the show:
Clip from show:
Very interesting, I think.
No. This was just something funny that my 5 year old sister said... she has no filter and regularly tells my obese father (who is in denial about his weight) exactly how fat he is.
Geez, dude. They all only act that way because it's a children's show. The conflicts, dialogue and character's actions are meant to be pretty simple and playful because that is an easy thing for a child to understand.
Sorry if I'm coming off as too hostile, but come on man, be serious about this.
Joking aside, I think that's pretty great. Obviously took some very good and careful writing. Sesame Street always seemed to promote diversity without being annoying and preachy, which is cool.
Gentrifying Sesame Street and getting the Cookie Monster hooked on veggies is unforgivable though.

Yep. For the rest of the year, the Nintendo's games include: Arms, Splatoon 2, Mario and Rabbids (developed by Ubisoft though) Fire Emblem Warriors, Pokken Deluxe, Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade 2. Not sure if I'm forgetting something.
Platinum Games is working on a game for the Switch. Watch it be Bayonetta 3.
At least the Switch has a good list of upcoming indie games.
Yeah, okay. You do kind of have a point. To us, older, more mature people, it does look dumb.
I was simply looking at this from a more serious, more introspective view point. I felt passionate in the moment, and decided to talk about it. It fascinated me that a children's show such as this would take such a large bound to educate viewers about this mental disorder.
Eh, I'm rambling.
...You believe what you want to believe. And I will respect that. That's all I have to say.
I don't know why but I am all of a sudden having some cravings for a Soft Pretzel. And, while I'm at it, why can't Little Caesars bring back their soft pretzel crust Pizza?
(This has been your random thought of the day by Blind Sniper)
Yeah it's D-Day, and unfortunately no breasts are involved. However, uh, good stuff happened today, thanks to the people who went into the jaws of death, like my great uncle on Omaha, (did not die). Thanks to those brave souls.

... So apparently there were three singleplayer DLC's planned for GTA5. One actual canon DLC and two "what if?" DLC's.
The canon one was to be focused on Trevor and the Korean mafia.
The first what if would have been an alien invasion (in the style of Undead Nightmare from Red Dead Redemption).
And the other what if would have been a zombie apocalypse DLC.
The maps in both the alien and zombie DLC would still be Los Santos but they would be wildly different.
In the alien DLC there would've been a cinematic intro showing what the UFO's were doing in GTAV and how they summoned an Earthquake causing one of the mountains to open up revealing a hidden Spaceship where the Aliens awaken and start their invasion including an attack on Downtown LS.
The Zombie Apocalypse one would've had destroyed buildings, army wall around Los Santos, camp sites in Blaine County, etc.
However all of these have been pretty much converted into assets for GTA Online. Half of the missions from the Trevor DLC were converted into heists for multiplayer. The alien stuff were easter eggs that would lead up to the DLC. Nothing was done with the zombie DLC so it was probably just planned but no actual assets were made yet.
All the info of this is here if any of you are interested.

nothing like listening to the shrek 2 soundtrack in 2017 rocking back and forth thinking about the shit i should be doing right now and feeling suicidal that i can't bring myself to do any of it.
i wanna meet the fucking legend who wrote the new episode of fear, i want to shake his hand for making the fucking best unintentional comedy scene in anything i've ever fucking seen.

Since we are discussing games here now(YAY) it's everybody's thoughts on the Xbox One Scorpio and E3 I mean I'm looking forward 4 press conferences like Bethesda,EA,Microsoft, and Ubisoft. I think Microsoft will win this year's E3 cause there are things that will show up on the Microsoft Conference like the Scorpio and Exclusive games.
It's been a while since I've followed the E3 press conferences on the Console side of things, as I've mainly had interest in particular titles over whole consoles. I would bet that maybe Sony could have the best conference if they repeat the conference format they had last year, but it does seem like Microsoft has some cool stuff coming up too!
Not to mention, it seems they've become more down to earth over the last few years, and they have reflected that in the changes they've made to things like Xbox Live perks and benefits.

Xbox has come back since 2013 fallout and Sony has been fucking up over years and I get the feeling that Nintendo just now.Could be the worst conference I mean I saw their conference like 2015 and 2016 and it was the worst and yesterday the nonstop hype of there being pokemon on the switch (Pokemon Stars or something they said) wasn't on there at all but on the 3ds.
I think Sony and Microsoft are giant companies and so far Sony has won 2 like 2013 and 2014 but in 2015?Sony And Microsoft both won and last year they both won again but this year Microsoft will win cause of that HUGE power house console the Scorpio and now I think they got more things up their sleeves (I'm a Xbox fan after all)Anyway I look forward to the games they will show off at E3 on Sunday

Please no
Aww yeah
Pokemon Direct starting in 15 minutes!
EDIT
It's over. THIS ISN'T HOW YOU GET ME TO BUY A SWITCH NINTENDO.
That'd get them a lot of money, but why do that when there's Minecraft to be made.
Game Freak always does this :I
Maybe there'll be a mainline game in 2018.
Aren't all Muppets autistic?

Bert is definitely on the spectrum. Guy collecting paper clips ffs.

Oh...
Why? It's a children's show.
Oh dear Lord, please tell me it didn't sound dirty?? What did it sound like?? Shit...
Gotta pray that something good is announced during the E3 presentation

America yay!
Why don't people call the crispy pretzels, "hard pretzels"? The soft ones were around first.

I think Pizza Hut can still make you a pretzel crust if you're desperate.

WELL NOW THERE IS ONE COMING IN JULY. MINECRAFT 2
HAPPY DAYS
Yeah I didn't realize that came back on, I'll have to make an Episode Discussion thread...
Why Rockstar? Why?
Why can't you realize one? Why?
Gosh I hope they still do one. I really want to rob a casino. Or do anything with Trevor.
I assume you're talking about a certain character's death.
Ohhhh most definitely.
Not that I'm craving a soft pretzel as much right now, but good to know!
I'll have to keep that in mind.

Now I'm curious. Could you tell me what scene seemed unintentionally funny?
Travis' death scene.
