Disappointed in the Quality of the Game

Recently, I bought the first episode of season 2 on Android, and I was disappointed. The graphics were atrocious, choppy, and incredibly disappointing for a sequel, the first game looked more modern and superior!, there were many visual bugs, with the framerates dropping in nearly every scene, and walking around the game was incredibly jittery, with lag occurring everytime I moved, and walked around. There were also some scenes where the animations just abruptly froze, like the first scene where you know who was talking, with the scene freezing, and the dialogue continuing. I bought this on a supported device, it being a Nexus 6P running the latest 7.1.2 Nougat software, and reading through reviews, it seems this has also an occurrence on other supported devices, including more powerful devices like the Google Pixels, and S8's etc. While the first game had some bugs here and there, nowhere did it have such problems like the second one. While it isn't as bad as the Batman Telltale Game on mobile, it is close to it, and I am disappointed in the launch. While I appreciate the second season coming so quickly, I wonder if because of that, these issues occurred and/or the engine that the game uses, is showing its age. Hopefully these issues become fixed in future updates. I was, and still am, excited to play the second season.

  • Well you are using a smartphone. Play on PC and it will be a bit better. ^^

  • That is not much of an excuse. I also played the first season on my smartphone, and it was a very quality experience, and no where did it have the issues that this one (Season 2) has.

  • Well yes, but u have the latest iPad mini and I played it in there and I experienced some of the issues he was talking about

  • That's a $400 angry birds machine, you shouldn't be trying to play actual games on it.

  • Mobile isn't for gaming. Both Batman and MCSM (to be frank, every single game ever made.) runs well for me.

  • Mobile isn´t for gaming

Minecraft Story mode sells 10 million copies on google play

  • Dude, 10 million is nothing. Ever looked at the console sales for anything other than MCSM? Ever played Clash Royale?

  • It didn't sell 10 million copies. It was downloaded 10 million times. I'm pretty sure that most of those people downloaded the game and played episode 1 for free.

  • So your counter-argument is naming another mobile game that sells very well? Wha.......you just said that mobile isn´t for gaming and now you just buried yourself xD Your funny :D

I was talking about the genre of games. Clash Royale is for your average Joe, which any potato can run.

You certainly cannot say the same for console and PC games. Also, CR doesn't sell, it's free.

That's no excuse saying that mobile is meant for gaming. It never is and most definitely will never be.

It's equivalent to calling yourself a gamer but the only game you play is Clash of Clans.

I apologise if I sounded mean xD
    Have a good day :D

  • The 6P is still a solid device after 3 years, still modern, and to be objective, I also bought the game on my iPhone 7 Plus, arguably the most powerful smartphone on the market today, and the same issues! I also included how newer devices like the Pixels, and the S8's were also experiencing this.

  • If mobile wasn't for gaming, TellTale wouldn't be releasing their games for mobile devices, and neither would other big developers. The original MCSM runs well for me on mobile, and so does every other modern game on the Play Store, like true heavy hitters that were on consoles like Rockstars* Bully, and GTA San Andreas, but unlike those games, the quality for MCSM 2 is subpar, as it is stated in my comment, and others.

  • Doesn't matter, if you release a game on mobile it should be compatible

  • That's because shadows in this season are a lot more processor-consuming, so in a smartphone it wouldn't run very well, so by default it turned the graphics to low.

The same happens with my computer, so don't be angry :P

  • If a game is released on mobile, it should play on mobile. High level games, released on any platform, should play as well or better than the average game on that platform. This game performs like old school gameboy games compared to newer DS games on DS systems.

  • Mac also runs horribly.

  • well then get the computer version mobile is the worst
ive tried it as well computer or console is much better

  • Since season 2 came out why can't you give the first season for free the whole season you guys make us pay a lot

  • Because they're a business and a business needs money to survive.

  • They should stop rushing, or it will always happen. I played this game on xbox 360, and i loved the history, but i noticed the same bugs as yours. I don't know why they did this to the graphics in some plataforms, because they didn't this in the first season. (I'm brazilian and my english is a bit bad. Sorry)

  • Playing on a phone was your first mistake. These games run choppily as it is on consoles, I would never dare buy a season on a smartphone.

  • I gotta agree with graphics. I don't get who thought updating the graphics to this was a good idea. They were better in season one.
