Question: Will Season 1's decisions affect Season 2?
Is there any info if Season 2 (e.g. relationship with chars like Gordon, John Doe/Joker, Lucius Fox etc.) be affected by the decisions made by Season 1.
I'd like to know to verify that I buy on the same platform so the game can import decisions.

Well obviously.
ha no
They don't really have affect other than a few dialogue so don't expect anything major.
Well we know for a fact by the screenshots that Alfred can have his eyepatch, so I assume that it's also possible to have Bruce with his damaged ear. So that choice with Vicki at least will have an impact.
There isn't any specific info about what will carry over beyond screenshots, but Telltale did confirm you can carry over your decisions from their news post detailing what players can expect from the second season.
It will likely be limited to what is relevant to the story of season 2. I expect character relationships to be the most noticeable of things that carry over, though again, you don't want to get bogged down by the events of season 1 when you're trying to tell a new story.
Suddenly hoping very much that Catwoman is in season 2 again :P
I'll be pretty disappointed if she doesn't make an appearance, but I'm not worried, I have a strong feeling that she will.
Of course, it has to. But we are having a simple fact that Joker will be the main antagonist so I'd doubt how mostly they will affect.
Why not continue the story?
They always tend to cop out on big choices and only go for the much smaller cosmetic choices like appearances or some lines of dialogue.
Unless they get a better engine and better programmers, I really wouldn't count on anything different regarding this season.
I'm hoping that Commissioner Gordon's relationship with Batman/Bruce from S1 will impact S2.
With the postcard from her in the ending of the first season, it's pretty likely that she will return.
Actually Riddler is the Main antagonist so far. Joker seems to be a secondary.
Oh my bad. Still it doesnt change the fact entirely because I'd doubt we will cross with Penguin or Two-Face.
Also the fact that you get "Selina/catwoman will remember that" after you part ways with her, either with a kiss or with her being mad at you
Well its possible we might. Maybe one or two scenes or a cameo. Even if its just to please the choice heavy fans who want to see Harvey scarred from his possible wounds in season 1.
Job made a point of that we don't actually know who the main villain is. Well what he said was "That's the thing though isn't it? Who is the main villain?" I can't remember what he said word for word, but that's the gist. The Riddler has been most used inn teasers but that doesn't mean he's the main villain.
Carley will remember that.
I wonder if such outcomes will appear in the choice generator, because SPECIFICALLY for this game, there are tons.
That by itself could be hinting at Riddler. 'That's the thing though isn't it?' Sounds very Riddler-esque. Also I want to be optimistic and not believe its Joker for the 5th game now. The way they described him in the synopsis seems much better and interesting than that.
What does the engine have to do with character personalities crossover
I think he will stay in the sidelines like in Season 1. I mean, just because he is there it doesn't mean he will be the main villain. We had him, Two-Face and the Penguin in Season 1 and none of them were the main villain. It also allows for this to be a trilogy and to have the Joker as the main villain in the last game, which would make sense and not feel like it comes out of nowhere after having him influence certain plot points in the first two seasons.
The "favor" Bruce owes Joker from his Arkham escape is one decision I hope Telltale will acknowledge in a big way for S2.
Would love for that to happen. However, Oz and Harvey are likely to never appear again due to the "newcomer" thing
Well, they really don't have to. Their stories are more or less finished, since both were apprehended. If this was some series that was supposed to go for decades, like the comics, then it would make sense for them to escape eventually and go after Batman/Bruce, but I doubt this series will get over three games.
Also, Batman is extremely popular and lots of people outside of the fanbase at least heard of its main villains due to cultural osmosis, so a mention or a little cameo from them isn't out of question even for people that didn't play the previous game. They are not original TellTale characters.
Either way, I know you have been arguing all over the forums that the games will be completely disconnected because you do not need to play one to play the other. I doubt that because both ANF and Minecraft had mentions/cameos from previous seasons (ANF even had a cameo from a comics/TV series character).
So if Oz and Harvey never appear again, it isn't because of the "newcomer" thing, but more because their story for this series is done.
Also, Oz and Harvey not appearing have nothing to do with Joker being the main villain eventually.
HERE
Here is a video of the "world creator" from the start of season 2, so some decisions matter.
Good stuff. Seems to cover season 1 well enough.
I'll probably use this.
What about the tech? I got Selina's Claw so can it be used?
At best expect dialogue and slight appearance differences
Only 2 of them will have an effect.
One of them will be a dialogue change.
One will be a physical change.
^If those aren't redundant enough, read below.
considering none of them matters, except for John Doe and Selina because we aren't gonna ever see the other people again. I'm amused by Telltale.
So I sneaked a peek at the episode 3 picture and I can clearly see a certain character will be returning.
Dude its Telltale
I'm talking about widely different scenarios with widely different characters depending on the choices you make. Basically feeling much less linear in structure and having more freedom to take the narrative somewhere else entirely.
Telltale's engine just isn't capable of that kind of butterfly effect.
Heh, the Jane flashback in Ep4 had one "Jane will remember that" but we all know she dies in Ep1 (TWD ANF).
