Alfred Bug in S1 E1 STILL an issue?!

Because really? I felt I should replay the entire first season so I could finalize my choices for Season 2, only to find that in Episode 1 the Alfred bug where he berates you for beating a man half to death even when you didn't is STILL a thing! Shouldn't this have been fixed ages ago?

  • It isn't actually a bug. A bit annoying I know but the only real difference is that if you're ruthless Alfred says "You nearly killed a man tonight" and if you don't hurt him he says "You beat that man half to death."

  • I was under the impression there's a third result where he says he's impressed how well you handled the situation. Given I didn't hurt him at all outside slamming him against the wall and squeezing (but not breaking) his arm.

  • I agree...Alfred is a buzz kill...all I did was break his arm...considering what he did to the police...that is not much of a much.

  • I don't think that's what Derek is complaining about :p

  • Stumbled across another bug in Episode 3 today, when Bruce contacts Vicki as Batman on the phone. I selected the 'She Owes me' dialogue option, assuming this would refer to Batman saving her life at the conference, but then Alfred referred to Bruce telling her about Montoya in Episode 2, even though I hadn't done so.

  • It's only that specific dialogue option that's bugged. If you pick "I need her source" then Bruce correctly references what happened.

  • I suspected it was the specific dialogue. It's a shame when something like this happens as it pulls you out of the game somewhat, but ho hum.
