How to find out if someone you know is intersex?

How to find out if a person is intersex without asking them? that will not hurt them. (by the way i'm not talking about transgenders)

Because there are some that really look like women, and some are also really emotionally women, it's just that they can't get pregnant.

Does it really matter? Unless you're romantically/sexually interest in them, why is it important?

  • It's up to them to tell you themselves or you can ask. Unless you're romantically involved you don't have a right to know. It's fully their decision if you should know about it.

  • Exactly my point. What if a male person is romantically/sexually interested to a woman (who acts boyish) and who seem disinterested in him. how will he ask her? you know maybe that's the reason why, or maybe she just doesn't want him. but hey any of those are valid reasons.

  • There's no exact 'right' time. We're human, you can't accurately predict how someone will react.

    1. Listen to their voice
    2. Commit borderline sexual harassment and feel if they have any nuts down there
    3. Say “R U MAN OR WOMAN?”
  • Do you often suspect women of being intersex when they act 'boyish'? It's not a healthy way to think.

This topic is a bit random... It's pretty obvious you fancy some tom boyish woman and you are jumping to the conclusion they are tom boyish so they may be (intersex) for some reason. I mean tom boyish women are easier to bond with as friends, if she was interested she would let you know by now plus there are obvious telltale signs that they may be interested. (Not going to spell the signs out though cause I don't want to write an essay). Knowing whether they are trans, intersex etc isn't something you need to know unless you are dating or romantically involved. She'd confess if you were.

  • We know you are talking about yourself why would you set this topic up otherwise?

  • my friend says the girl never had a boyfriend, she's at her 30s and that she hangs out with women more. she was introduced to me once but i can't tell 'coz she looks like a typical girl, her physique is slim, what i only noticed is the rugged pants, denim jacket, and walking like a man, and drives a motorcycle, but i know there are women like this coz i have friends who act like this too.

I fail to find a scenario where that would be your business under circumstances where they wouldn't be obliged to just tell you themself out of decency.

  • Are you saying that she's not interested in you, but you won't let it go until you've confirmed that it's because she's intersex, not because she simply doesn't like you? Errr... Did I interpret that correctly?

    not me, my male friend.

  • my friend asked me What if she' s an intersex? i couldn't give him a straight answer because i really have no clue, which i already told him honestly. i was just wondering if there's someone who knows in this forum how to ask a person without offending or hurting her. so i tried asking here

  • It's really not any of your business, or your friend's for that matter. It's up to her if she wants to tell. "What if she's intersex", so what about it? Sounds like that would be some kind of a problem so maybe you should both just stay away from her, if being intersex somehow affects the way you see/treat a person.
