Rest in Peace TotalBiscuit.
Thanks for the years of entertainment. I hope that wherever you are now is running at 120fps, has a detailed options menu and a decent FOV slider.
Creatively, the first gameplay trailer here looks to be a more unhinged version of BF1.
(Never played a Battlefield game before BF1 so I don't know how crazy it usually gets.) In Battlefield 1, the WW1 accuracy...-ish and simplicity was a really cool thing to see, especially the opening prologue to the single-player campaigns. Random soldier names, random lifespans, it was brutal and somber and a great shocking way to show the brutality of war.
(It may not have been completely authentic, but it was very immersive. This new trailer was not.)
In BFV, we get WORLD WAR 2 BABY!! YEAAHHH!!! WHO NEEDS PRACTICAL WARTIME DESIGN ACCURACY WHEN YOU CAN LOOK BADASS AND COOOOL?!
Financially, I really like how they aren't doing a premium pass for this, and all maps will be free. [Granted, it does put a thought in the back of my mind: What's the catch?] But for now, it's a hop in the right direction.
I was put off BF1 by the Premium pass' exorbitant price (you essentially pay for the price of two games 80$-Base game, 60$-Pass), and with the release of expansions with new maps, it just segmented the player base. I played, I platinumed, I sold. What made it worse afterwards was that apparently around the release of the 2nd pack, DICE repackaged the game as a bundle (with the pass), and sold it for the same base price (80$). They didn't even lower the price of the Premium pass for Base game owners, meaning they stillhad to pay more since the start for that than new players do for getting in later, even when all the packs weren't even out! It's awful!
The character customisation is way too overdone and the trailer is an incoherent mess (which is disappointing considering how great the BF1 … moretrailer was), but from what I've read about the games features, how the game will play and how it looks in screenshots without the weird ass characters it sounds great. I'll just sit here patiently waiting for a proper gameplay trailer.
Huh. Is it because I used too many Capital letters in my comment above that it has to be "approved" by the mods when I submit it? Even after editing just a few spelling mistakes, it disappears again to get reapproved.
Interesting sneaky system, if true..
EDIT: Okay, is my account blacklisted or something? In another thread, I had to wait for approval. Are there certain rules on what is "safe" and instantly uploaded to the site? Is it links that trigger it?
This is a new change that I've never seen here before. I'd like some clarification.
I'm not sure what the system is catching as spam, i approved the post both times but the reason editing the post catches it as spam again as it counts as a resubmission and goes through the filter system again and then gets caught by whatever is being filtered.

Do you know what exactly the autobot detects as "spam"? Must be related to something in my 2 recent comments...
The query I posted above didn't need approval, but the longer posts did.

I just found it, recently we had spambots using a certain phrase which we filtered and part of that phrase was coincidentally used in one of the links you posted.
I removed the filter for now as those bots seemed to have stopped.
That's odd.

Yep >:'( I can't believe they screwed up this bad. A game based in reality with some more fantastical elements? This is some bs that hack Hideo Kojima would come up with, with his totally lame giant mechs and rocket prosthetic arms in the 80's.
And everyone knows that colour didn't exist until after 1945, everything was black and white before then.
I'm so grateful that Dice went above and beyond to make their World War 1 simulator so realistic. It's an absolutely travesty that they've already ruined their upcoming World War 2 simulator.
So I watched Solo today and... It's perfectly fine. Nothing offensive and certainly not bad. But it's not as good as the previous three Star Wars movies in my opinion. Let's start with the positives.
Alden Ehrenreich starts off rocky as the titular character but up to a certain point he just grew on me, and when the Kessel Run scene happens I just thought to myself. Yup he's Han Solo. He's not Harrison Ford but he does a good job portraying our favourite smuggler especially when sharing scenes with Chewie and Lando, and I wouldn't mind seeing more of him in the future. Woody Harrelson as Beckett was really entertaining and so was Donald Glover as Lando (who did a really fantastic job). Paul Bettany was also surprisingly threatening as the antagonist. The third act in general was just some really good fun along with a few great twists. The last bit of the movie also sets up some unexpected/mindblowing (me and my friend were freaking out super hard) ramifications for the future of the franchise, or at least in the Anthology side. The movie is the best looking Star Wars movie so far in my opinion. It's absolutely gorgeous. Also there's a war scene in the first act of the movie that looks like something ripped straight out of a World War 2 flick and it is magnificent. Really gritty and realistic looking. Kinda makes you feel for the soldiers under the Empire.
Now for the negatives. Many of the characters are underdeveloped and this includes Beckett, Qi'ra, L3 and Dryden. L3 while I thought was decently entertaining (she's a droid fighting for droid rights but it's played for comedic effect) overall is easily the weakest droid character introduced so far, though she does have a couple good moments. The first two thirds of the movie are... just okay. Nothing offensive but nothing particularly special. Sure there are some cool looking scenes but nothing really memorable. There's the expected cheesiness and the wink wink nudge nudge references.
Overall it's fine. A little rough but fine. And that was honestly the best I could have hoped for considering it's rocky development. I salute Ron Howard for managing to pull this off.
Small rant
Some of you (you know who you are) need to calm the fuck down. A 7 out of 10 is not a bad score. The fact that this needs to be said multiple times is proof that you people need to remove your heads from your rears. All your ranting and raving doesn't make you some sort of saviour of cinema or some truth seeker among the sheep. It just makes you look like some crazy obnoxious asshole trying to ruin peoples enjoyment. It's fine if you don't like the direction that the franchise is going but ya'll don't need to keep screaming it out to the world and fucking with other people. It's gotten so bad on here that I straight up can't say shit about this franchise that I love without one of you people constantly reminding me how much you think it sucks. I can't believe how bad the Solo thread on here is. Most of the discussion is by people who haven't seen the fuckin' movie but are already shitting all over it.
Humble Bundle is offering the game Hacknet for FREE for the next 24 hours. It's a pretty good 'lite hacking game' -- you input code, commands, snoop around files and such. But it's free so why not get it for yourself or a friend?
Over in the Wolf forums, there is a new "Talk with Telltale" thread where some of the staff are stopping by to chat real quick for like the next hour or so. Bad news is they announced a delay to 2019, but the good news is that it's for further gameplay innovation (like, for example, if you saw that open world TWD S4 footage with non-scripted zombie/walker encounters that totally didn't leak).
got my copy of dark souls: remastered but the place me and my best friend pre-ordered it at fucked him over and didn't order his copy so i guess i'm not playing dsr for another week or two.

That's why I don't like pre-ordering but Spider-Man is probably going to be the first one that I'll pre-order because I might already leave my country before September.

For context they're suing to distance themselves from the movie because they used the tagline "No Sesame. All Street." This'll most likely be resolved very quickly and isn't really a big deal.
There are actually people from Sesame Street working on the movie. The muppets for one thing are made by the Jim Henson company and the director is Brian Henson (Jim Hensons son) who has directed several of the old Muppet movies.
(I'd post this somewhere in TWD section, but it's much too cluttered with decent threads to find anything appropriate for this..)
So, I was always under the impression that TWD: ANF was going to have '6' episodes. It made sense with what was said at the Game Awards. The "premiere" was in two parts, and the one episode they made was too big for an average playtime so they split it. This means it would have been Ep1 pt1+2 -- Ep2-5.
It wasn't until I I laid my eyes on the main menu I realized I was wrong. Granted, many of us were confused after the initial announcement, as nothing had been said about the number of Episodes there. As it turns out, we had our answer all along. It's in the blog post.
The first TWO of five episodes in The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier will premiere digitally worldwide starting Tuesday, December 20th
Needless to say, I wouldn't have been so disappointed had I read the blog post first.
Just something I realized. That's all.
Woah, it feels weird to be on this website again. I think I haven’t posted here since TWD S3 E5 came out. But I was finally able to catch up on MCSM S2 and I just finished episode 4. And I needed somewhere to put this but... reuniting with Ivor, drove me to tears. I forget how important this game was to me back in season 1, and how crazy I was over Ivor. It really just made me nostalgic and think about all the good times I had writing about theories and my thoughts on these forums. Ugh I’m crying again

Yeah, I'm divided on this.

I'm well aware of the flagging cause. I just totally enjoy teasing them.

Sesame Street Sue's The Makers Of The Melissa McCarthy Puppet Movie WOW!!! Don't mess with Sesame Street.
