Basically the company expanded too quickly (fuck you very much Kevin Bruner) and it had to lay off 250 of it's employees without severance pay or lasting health benefits. In the weeks that followed there have been developments here and there:

TWD TFS is being saved by Skybound (who are hiring as much of the original team as possible)

All other upcoming projects like TWAU S2 and GOT S2 have been cancelled, with no info regarding whether or not they will be picked up by other studios.

Other than that, this seems to be the end of TellTale Games.

  • There is two things Telltale needs to do
1:Finish the final season (That is happening)
2: Pay the former employees of the company severance ( This is next up)

Then we can talk about the companies survival (Money). If I where Telltale, I would fix/optimize MCSM S2 on Google Play and make the first episode free as MCSM series is the last time Telltale made any money. I mean the first season got 10 000 000+ downloads but season 2 has...wait for it... 10k+ downloads. (0.001%) Reading the reviews its becuase of lags and bugs. Hell the game is apparently unavailable on my device aka Samsung Galaxy S9+. Also optimize an allready finished game is not that expensive as making a new game.

I just want Telltale to survive and make TWAU S2 :(

  • Yeah I don't give 2 shits about MCSM irregardless of if it saved TTG for a while longer.

    I JUST WANT TWAU S2!!!!!!!!! >':(

  • There is a solution... But this might be bad and I don't want to say this because it may affect the Studio's Culture and it will change some sort of stuffs that depends to others...
