Old Telltale Games Videos!

JakeJake Telltale Alumni

Hey all! Long time no see.

In case anyone still comes by the ol' Telltale Forums in these dark times, I thought I would provide a fun source of light by promoting my YouTube channel (apologies if this sort of self promotion is against the rules.... haha). I was a community manager at Telltale in their earliest days, and left in 2013 after having a great time helping make The Walking Dead: Season One. In the last few weeks, I've been setting up a YouTube channel archiving a bunch of Behind The Scenes, and Making Of videos from Telltale's past, that never made their way online. You can find it here:

So far I have a mix of special features and developers commentary tracks from Sam & Max Seasons 1, 2, 3, as well as Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, and Back To The Future: The Game. I'll be adding more as time goes on. Most of these are special features from the DVD editions that were only available to fans who bought the game direct from Telltale. There are a few deep cut Easter Eggs on the channel as well.

Hope anyone who comes by this dusty old forum finds this and enjoys it. Also, hello again :)

Also I'm happy to know that the phrase "Yak Space" has somehow managed to stick at the top of these forums for all this time.

    ...Booo, hisss...

...just kidding! Long time no see! :) I wasn't a mod prior to when you were more active, but I did often see your older posts when I was a lurker around the older pre-Walking Dead days.

I saw that channel being posted on your Twitter, and I'm glad to see that I can watch some of the commentaries since I never got around to getting the special edition DVDs on the older Telltale Store. I especially look forward to watching the Devil's Playhouse commentaries sometime.

Cheers, glad you're enjoying it! I hope to expand the channel out to include playlists of now-hard-to-find old Telltale videos that are across the rest of YouTube - we made so much of it over the years - but for now the task of just uploading old never-before-shared stuff takes up enough hours of each weekend!

  • First thought: OK, who necro-bumped this ancient thread with Jake in it???

Then: Oh, it's a new thread with Jake in it!

Thanks for doing this! I have the bonus DVDs myself, of course. ;) But I know others will appreciate it!

  • Welcome back to the forums, Jake! Thanks for uploading all of these videos! I really enjoyed the BTTF commentary. Shame we never got a season two.

  • Awesome! Thanks for this, Jake! The stuff you've preserved/uncovered is all great to see!

Cool thing though: I somehow already found your channel naturally on YouTube a few days ago. Thank you, YouTube Algorithm.

Haha I’m glad to have fooled you by returning, however briefly.

I figure I should mention this here too since this is an “old stuff” thread - if anyone has the old Walking Dead Podcast year episode mentioned here https://telltale.com/community/discussion/122486/old-walking-dead-podcast-test-episode-does-anyone-have-it I’d love to get a copy myself!

  • Whoa, I was not expecting to see the great Jake Rodkin post here. Thanks for doing this, and I’m really looking forward to In the Valley of Gods.

  • Damn it's Jake Rodkin! Woo!
