aron do all women in romania look like dimitrescu??? asking for a friend who is now strongly considering buying a plane ticket to romania.
yeah. a friend.
I just saw someone shit on Avatar: The Last Airbender for a lack of diversity. To be more specific, this person was mad because Avatar, a show inspired by Asian and Inuit culture, races, and philosophy, didn’t have enough black and Latino people in it.
I honestly don’t even know what’s worse, the fact that someone is so dumb to post something like that, or that people are dumb enough to like and agree with it. If you’ll excuse me, I am going to start bashing my head against a fucking wall.
I've seen worse. I heard someone shit on the finale for Avatar The Last Airbender and even dared to say it was much worse than Shyamalan's movie. Opinions is one thing but having THAT type of opinion is such an insult to people's intelligence. It makes me pull my hair out.

I think they should make a better Walking Dead game that's geared to the tv series with the original characters. I think they should make it to where you can see the zombies that you kill and you can chose sides like Negan or Rick. Idk I feel like all the Walking Dead games out now could be much better made. Anyone else?
For the 25th anniversary of the Tomb Raider franchise, it has been confirmed that there will be more Tomb Raider games set within the reboot universe (eventually). Not only that, but both timelines of the reboot and original will be merged into one, with plans for the next game to take place some time after the previous games.
I have no idea how that will work but as a fan of the reboot trilogy I'll take it lol.
So apparently Bill Willingham did an ama earlier and said The Wolf Among Us (game) is not canon and neither will Wolf 2 which is honestly crazy. I’m more surprised he says Wolf 1 is non canon due to “changing too much” which is crazy because what remains as conflicting in comic to game in Wolf 1 is so minor it could not matter at all.
He also apparently has 0 involvement with Wolf 2 which honestly is probably for the best as he can get a bit too controlling it seems. Just kinda crazy knowing Wolf isn’t considered that anymore.
Ether way though, I don’t see AdHoc and Telltale doing anything crazy canon breaking anyway, but I think this does give them more freedom to do things without having all seeing god eyes on them. (For example Bigby could secretly go to the farm now, as I doubt they’d break canon for why he is there, but now Bill wouldn’t be a fighting force against it)
Damn, this is jus sad. This actress died of colon cancer at 39. That is way too young. I really hope the game lives up to the work from this poor woman. May she rest in peace.
Aw man, that's sad! It's great that she got all her motion capture done before now, but the fact that she wasn't able to see it released in its finished form is just depressing!

So actually some more context on Bill Willingham saying Wolf isn't canon:
Apparently he really liked the original Wolf 2 script and was involved with the original Wolf 2.
When Wolf 2 was rebooted, Telltale spoke to him about consulting but he said he wanted to be on the writing team from the start or just not include him, so they passed and he has no involvement.
Because of this, he now has changed his views and seems to have a chip on his shoulder about Wolf and now deems Wolf 1 and the upcoming sequel as non-canon (even after he made them change the entire game to fit the canon.)
So yeah, honestly kind of lame. Wouldnt be surprised if a big reason Telltale passed this time was because AdHoc is aware of how complicated he can be. Pretty lame to basically just change the continuity because you want to be overprotective of a property from the people who elevated your property in the first place. (Like I understand it is his creation, but some of the things Bill says and writes about in Fables is just so ridiculous.)

Terrible. I'll send a prayer up. Too young. Colon cancer is scary. Took Chadwick Boseman's life; that broke my heart. Lot of things have broken my heart lately.
At least she is will be eternally remembered thanks to all of...the interest people have in the female villains for RE8.

i'm honestly just not a fan of his stories. putting aside my distaste for him as a person, king always strikes me as someone who can come up with super interesting concepts that other more talented artists can flesh out better. kinda like george lucas. i appreciate the huge impact king has had on the horror genre as a writer, but i always find that the adaptations of his work are usually much better than the original work itself. except for the pet semetary remake and shining tv series. those blow.

I don't think I remember romanian women dressed for a Tim Burton movie. If that's what he is looking for, then call Chris to throw a boulder at him.

What?
Didn't the first story get heavily rewritten because of his involvement/inference?
I swear I've been reading an article everyday now of someone in the industry dying at a very young age. Really sad.
Yes it did, so ironic that after all this moaning about it and after they made sure Wolf 1 was canon, he goes and says it isnt.

I dunno why but this kind of reminds me of Stephen King who hated Stanley Kubrick's Shining adaptation.

This sounds like good news to me,they have way more freedom now for Wolf 2.
hot take but kubrick's shining adaptation rules way harder than anything king has ever written or will ever write.
I dunno, King has written a lot of good stuff. Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption is great, although its adaptation is amazing.

hmm
What about TWAU comics? Are they considered non-canon then?
He didnt comment, but I think he probably groups them together.
Sounds like another Lily fiasco except years after the fact.
I thought I’d stop by again to see how everyone is doing. I missed you all
