Need Help With One Part Of Game

I"m stuck at the spot where Marty is at the Delorean and he picked up the shoe, listened to the tape, talked to Einey....turned time curcuits on. Now I'm stuck. How do I find out what year Doc is in?

give shoe to Einey

go to you inventory and give click on the shoe then click use item and get out of the car and use the item on Einstein
