Ice Station Santa. Stuck on Christmas past.

Either i've missed something really obvious or my game is buggy. I need to get the boxing glove from Jimmy and i read the walkthrough but when I turn on the TV i just get static and when I try to place the maze in front of the hole Sam says that "It sounds like fun, but nobodys home."

    Never mind. Silly me though I had to do it in the present. Doh.
