Goal of 202 driving game?

I find this
runing-over-the-bagpipes
game very difficult. Tried may be a hundred times and the best I could do was silver. If I understand correctly,
each set of pipes represent one note, and you win by "collecting" all the notes in a tune
. Is that correct?

Any hints about playing this sequence?

    ok i can tell you a good hint
    if you have the Sam & Max soundtrack play it's a Max Max Max Max Max World if you're having trouble trying to get Gold, also don't hit the Acordians, they make the tune go off key and you should also practise a few times

    You sure about that? I know I missed at least a couple, and still won.

    oh you can miss a couple but you have to keep hitting the pipes to keep the meter up

    I liked that bagpipe destruction thing. i got it on my first try

    Hint: try not going on the sidewalk area. hiting all that stuff makes your meter go down.
