Episode 5 - Getting Edna to confess?

Im stuck at the part where you have to get Edna to confess....."something" (I already know how to get her to confess and how to get Parker to hear it, but i dont know how to get the "thing" without being stopped)

    Have you checked out all the items in the home/furniture exhibit?

    you must take fake flowers from officer parker stand
    put flowers in future phone booth
    go to future house and make call (middle button on wall)
    ask trixie to call edna
    pretend to be carl sagan
    when you get confess, give flowers to officer parker
