Formatted my pc, how do i restore my backed up saves?

I formatted my pc and saved my game saves. How do I get them to show up in the game?

    Once you installed the game, try copying the old prefs.prop and *.save files to:
    %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead

    It is possible that the game doesn't accept your prefs.prop and creates a new one.
    What are the sizes of the prefs.prop files you backed up, and the one now in your savegame folder after you have run the game?
