Any reason why not? This is kind of like saying we are going to support 16:10 but not 16:9 aspect ratio on the PC. It's not like this is a 99 cent game (many of which were updated within the first few days on the iphone 5 mind you)...we're paying full price, why should we not expect full support?
Please think for a second about how much development it would take to add that screen size full screen. They would either 1. Develop new backgrounds and textures for all available episodes or 2. stretch everything then cut off the top and bottom to fit (which would ruin the screen space they had planned).
Both are non feasible. Maybe if they create new episodes later, they may decide to go this route but with stuff they already have coded… that would be dumb.
Maybe the guy form Tell Tale could have answered better, but I for one am happy they gave you a golden shower.

Sounds like you clearly don't have an iPhone 5. Updating an existing game isn't a novel idea. Furthermore, developers with much less development resources are doing it. Go troll somewhere else.
I am very disappointed in hearing this news. Also, a little angered by the no explanation response.
From reading the reviews in the app store, most people are complaining about the game being too laggy, which leads me to believe those people are playing the game on older iPhone models (4 and 4s). The game does not lag at all on my iPhone 5, which means it runs BEST on an iPhone 5 and you're telling us that you are not planning to update the game for the larger, better 16x9 screen. EVERY game that I play on my phone has done this update, and most of those games are either completely FREE or cost 1 dollar. Your game costs over 20 dollars and you dont have the resources for this update? I smell complete bullshit.
I played the first 2 chapters on my iPhone 5, and figured I would wait till the certain update before playing on. Upon hearing this news I will no longer be purchasing the remaining chapters.

Like above, I have registered to show my disappointment for this.
Unfortunately for me I bought all the Episodes beforehand.
I know some more people that won't buy it for that reason too. Surely it's worth it for them to implement iPhone 5 support if there are a lot of people like us with the same opinion?.

Very disappointing Telltale.
This...+1
I was really interested in this game, right up until I read this thread. I'm glad I did.
Any developer who doesn't update their apps for the latest devices - Apple or otherwise - are plain lazy.
Foolish too, because now you're not getting my money.

Would it really hurt to spend an extra minute of your time to offer some decent customer service?
