iPad 2: Episode: Carly or Doug: Cane can't be picked up when offered.

Hello.

I am unable to play this game any further due to the fact that when Clementine offers the cane to Lee, the cane can't be picked up. I can tap on the hotspot and it turns yellow while the command text appears on the bottom left corner of the screen, but when I tap it again, nothing happens. The game can't proceed, it won't end.

Please tell me this is fixable and soon. I would very much like to return playing this rather interesting game.

    This can happen on rare occassion, and can be fixed by either restarting at the last checkpoint or rewinding to the most recent checkpoint.
