(The walking dead) Game save problems for xbox360

Heyy guys..I'm a huge fan of the walking dead and i love the walking dead game to death and i had no problems at all with it untill yesterday..I don't know what's wrong but Whenever I try picking a different save it just takes me back to save 2..I tried copying my saves and putting them to save 2 but it still didn't work..then I was forced to delete the game and redownload it to see if that worked and it didn't...I lost all 3 of my saves and it still won't let me start another playthrough..I can only do save 2..very disappointed..and my achievements aren't showing up either..I completed episode 4 and got them but they aren't showing up..it says I got 24 out of 32..so yeah fix this telltale please...I've allways supported you guys..please don't make me regret that..

    I have the exact damn problem and it's annoying as hell. I wouldn't even care if they delayed the game another month or so just fix whats already available.

    I have this same issue on 360. There is however one thing that happened to me that was very odd regarding this. When I first downloaded episode 4 on the release date, I immediately had this issue. I noticed it was showing scenes from a totally different playthrough than the one I had just clicked on. I caught onto this during the 'previously on the walking dead' bits, so I just kept going back to the main menu, kept trying again and again, going back to xbox dashboard, and then back to the game. I was eventually able to get to the playthrough that I wanted to start. I'm still not sure why it worked, it simply did. Unfortunately, eventually the problem returned after I finished that particular playthrough and tried playing my 2nd one, only now, there is no fixing it, there is simply no way to access it normatter what I try.

    Could it be that as time has gone on after downloading ep 4 that the problems are getting worse? Latest playthrough was full of glitches and freezes that I certainly never had before.

    same here, no access to saves, only save 3 is available, saves contains the wrong (not my!!!) decisions in episode 2 and 3.

    same here, you know what the funny thing is, PSN had a problem with corrupted files and telltale had a moderater on it and a patch released in a few days....we had it the same amount of time and they havent done shit, thanks telltale for wasting my time and money for something i cant finish

    thats the same problem i was havin also but now the other save i want 2 play just keeps asking me if i wanna make random choice since i havent played it prev when i kno i hav

    yeah i just dont know what to do. i tried everything...telltale needs to fix this soon...my girlfriend loves the game too and she liked bitched me out cause she thought i deleted her save on purpose lol i explained to her about what happened and stuff and now she doesnt want anything to do with telltale..shes just gonna stick to the show lol.. so yeah telltale i almost got murdered cause of this bug..FIX IT!

    I love the walking dead to death but after this bullshit i wont be buying another episode or anything from telltale games again unless they fix this and give me back my saves. I dont want to have to replay the whole game again that would be bullshit. Whoever didnt catch this bug should be fired then tarred and feathered. No one should buy a single thing from this company again. Forget them. They're corrupt and just want your money, they dont care about the gamers or they wouldnt have let this happen.

    yeah i agree with you 100 percent. when i was forced to delete my saves and start over i actually played through it all again and guess what...it got corrupted again..lol this shit is getting old and annoying ive wasted hours of my life playing this when i could have used those hours to spend time with my fiance...but theres one time i dont get..why the hell did the ps3 get a patch like a few days after the bug and us xbox users havent got shit..

    We are aware of this issue and working on a solution. In the meantime, please check the sticked thread here in this forum regarding this issue. It can be found HERE and contains a workaround to regain the use of your other save slots.

    hmm, i only had one playthrough going, and the only save slot i'd used had changed to the start of the first episode, I was part way through the 4th. really...bummed out about this lol

    mine is worse my options for episode 5 are as follows when pushing play

    1. Start at Episode 1
    2. freeze at Episode selection screen
    3.freeze at black screen
    4. freeze at screen that says loading in the bottom right
    5. game starts and freezes and second dialogue option point
    6. (this is the best one) just past second dialogue point pop up saying "game no longer located on storage device"

    The issue described in this thread was patched by a Title Update a few weeks ago. If you are still experiencing this issue, please launch the game while logged into your Xbox profile and connected to Xbox Live and you will be prompted to download the Title Update.

    Really annoyed and pissed right now. The gameplay is great, but after completing chapter 1, I CANT PLAY ANY OTHER CHAPTER. IT JUST BRINGS ME BACK TO CHAPTER 1 EVERY DAMN TIME. WHAT THE HELL TELLTALE. FIX THIS BULLSHIT PLEASE, ITS TAKING FOREVER.

    Played through all episodes including Episode 4 on the recently released disk. Started Episode 5 and Episode 1 started. Checked game save and it shows Episode 1 not 4 or 5. Really upset now. All game saves and choices lost. Keep on getting patches and assumed this very troubling issue would have been fixed, it is not. Terrible. I stumbled my way through all episodes with no option for look inversion on the Y axis, which was unnecessarily painful. I just can't believe these things are not dealt with at this time. Very upset.

    Well i just got a refund on this piece of shit game becauase 2 patches and the problem nor workaround is fixed after episode 2 you cannot save the game it brings you right back to episode 1 i wasted 6hours playing to episode 5 saved turned it on to have it delete my saves and bring me back to episode 1 well fuck you whoever makes this game i'll never buy another game again ... Boycott and get a refund

    Ive already had to replay the first three episodes TWICE because my files would suddenly start at episode 1 and IT DID IT AGAIN
    I,m getting sick and tired of this. Is there anyway I could get my files back, I've heard so many positive things about this game but this just truly sucks, I want a refund.

    I just played up towards the end of Chapter 4. When I opened my game save, labeled Chapter 4, it starts the game from the beginning and autosaves over all of my progress. I'm wondering why a) it would autosave before the initial cinematic barely even gets started, and b) why the save mechanic wouldn't be changed to manual saving if there are so many reported problems. Does Telltale provide save files for those of us who just lost 2, 3 or 4 episodes of progress? Are they posted anywhere? It would be nice to find one with the same characters alive/dead so I don't have to replay what I already did for 10 hours or so.

    Having trouble with the save system too. I save at the end of an episode and it sends me straight back to episode 1.

    I started to to make a copy of my saved file onto a second slot and kept trying to load one of the files up. If it didn't work I would just copy the file again and keep repeating until the episode i'm on loads up.

    This way only takes about 4-5 tries but it works.

    got the same problem here , no matter what i try i cant start another episode expect 1. finished episode 2 yesterday and can t start of 3 today. and i dont want to do it with a random storyline. cant tell how often i ve seen the highway scene with the police officer. you realy should fix this soon or refund all the players who bought this. like now it seems i ve wasted 1200 ms points, thats false advertisement right there "play your unique storyline"... bullshit...

    Telltale, I've just lost my save (not the 1st time: having this problem since I first copied saves...) when starting playing from Episode 4 Chapter 2. "Fortunately" I had a copy of the save at the end of Episode 3 and after loading, I noticed Clem' was with a red hoodie... This copy of my save is not accurate and a few choices are not mine. Please find a solution to those horrible bugs! I'm kinda pissed off...
    However, the game's awesome, those problems apart...

    So angry right now. I bought the collectors edition of this game. Started it the other day. Loved it. Came back to it today and it erased my save. I will never buy another tell tale game again if this is not rectified, and quickly.

    To go directly to the solution that worked for me, scroll down to the bold text.

    I was having the same issue. Everything was fine until I installed episode four. I had just completed episode three. I set episode four to download and then turned off my xbox and went to bed. I have my xbox set to continue downloading after it is turned off, so I knew it would finish the download and could play the next episode the next day.

    When I tried to play it yesterday, I went to start my game and for some reason it started me out at the beginning of episode 1! At first I thought it was probably just my fault so I went back to the main menu and tried to restart it. Even though I made sure I paged over to episode four and hit start, it still started me on episode 1. I was pissed.

    I noticed that I could rewind episode 1 (I could even select the last chapter if I wanted), but none of the others, even though I was able to see my stats for all the episodes. I also noticed that now my savegame read episode 1, even though I barely made it past the screen saying "Episode 1" before exiting to the main menu. This really scared me cause I thought my savegame had been erased.

    I found another thread that talked about some savegame slots not working, and it talked about a workaround. Even though it wasn't exactly the same issue, I figured I'd give it a try.

    First I made a copy of the savegame in slot one and put it in slot two. Not sure if this was necessary for the workaround, but I want to include everything I did in case it actually mattered.

    Then I went into the xbox system menu, went to memory, found The Walking Dead Episode Four, and deleted it. I also signed out of Xbox Live and signed back in.

    Then I reloaded the game, and I noticed that I could now choose the rewind option for the first three episodes. I took this as a good sign.

    I then redownloaded the episode, staying on The Walking Dead menu the whole time. When it finished, I started it up and it worked fine. All my decisions were preserved and everything. If it doesn't start the first time on Episode four, pause the game, choose exit to main menu, and then select episode four again and restart.

    I have a save issue with game the walking dead. I cant play the second en third episode properly...only one save game works and thats not the story line i used...called xbox and they cant help me unless you got a solution for my prob...what to do

    as you can see by my profile pic i bought the walking dead on disc because i dont have internet at home (my nieghbour lets me use his) ive tryed to use the link for redeeming a digital copy but it takes me to windows office 2010 and then says the file is corrupted. help?

    Well I was finally able to get on Xbox Live today and downloaded the patch. I haven't gotten to play it yet (have to wait for the kids to go to bed tonight) but I tried my broken save and it was working again. I was about halfway through episode 3 and everytime I tried loading my game I got a screen asking if I'm sure I want to Rewind, and it froze there. Didn't do that this time, and let me continue where I left off before I experienced the glitch. I will continue playing tonight, and hopefully the game will work now. *crosses fingers*

    Telltale. Please refund my money for this game. This should have been completely checked before this game was put out. This save glitch is awful and i wont replay again. Please put out a notice letting xbox 360 players of twd know that the game has a horrible save glitch and is unplayable!

    i havent been on here for a long ass while and people are still having problems with the save files??? damn...i actully played through it again and everything went fine but that was with one playthrough....im glad my fiance didnt make a new game cause yeah looks like the save files is still messing up...fix it telltale.

    This just happened to me on episode three. Its complete horse shit that this problem still hasn't been fixed months later. The fact that you scum bags are still charging people for a game that doesn't work is ridiculous.

    I have another problem - any new game that i start, after episode 1, i can't continue the game. When i click on play on Episode 2, it's says if i want to rewind to that chekpoint, and it doesn't matter if i click on "Yes" or "No", the screen gets black, and i have to close the game. Someone else has the problem?
