help stuck on ipad bttf1

ipad
in the part that im saposed to record kid tenen and play it to arthur it doesnt work
over 10 times tryed

and i checked in google that what i did is right and it is

climbing gazebo using recorder geting down not passing near them and going strate to arthur ringign the bell using the tape
it never works!
i never hear the recording !
errrr
what am i doing wrong?

    If I remember correctly, you have to ring the door bell. Then when Arthur comes out to the window, you use the tape recorder on him.
