Xbox 360 Episode 5 Storage Device Glitch (SPOILERS)

Exactly what this thread says:

"For some reason, everytime I play Episode 5, and when it is on loading, this pops on:

"The storage device was removed while saving or loading. The game will now exit to the title screen."

Then, when I restart to where I was, it never loads, it stays in a black screen and never loads.

Does Telltale or someone knows the solution for this?"


Except I have a feeling you guys aren't gonna respond to that thread and from the comments on that thread it looks like this issue has been ignored. But it would be great to get a response from Telltale about this. This glitch means me and many others can't replay the Walking Dead properly now because of an apparent fault with our own storage devices, when mine and everyone else's is perfectly fine. I have a lot of space on my hard drive and I have just cleared my system cache, tried the section again and it still doesn't work.

I have tried clicking continue when it takes me to the main menu after this issue, which happens
when I click on the door to leave the Stranger's room after he dies
. When you click Continue it just gives you a blank, black screen and nothing happens. If you rewind to do the whole last section over again, the exact same thing happens and I have tried this three times now. Thanks in advance.

    Kind of annoyed this got moved. It's obvious why I put this thread in the other forum and that's because it looks like Telltale have been putting very little effort into responding on this one.

    It's definitely an issue with the game, I have tried other storages, and Cloud saves and the same thing happens.

    Hopefully with the new DLC coming for season one, they'll actually pay a little attention to the issues the game has and enable people to actually play the damn thing.

    Though given it's been six months without one, I'm not holding my breath.

    Yeah, and I hope 400 Days/Season 2 doesn't have so many issues with it. Someone from Telltale said that I should rewind to the final chapter of the episode before this one, and then play through it then start Episode 5 again but after I rewinded to that chapter I got the exact same message pop up, I tried rewinding to the chapter before that and the message popped up again. I am now hoping its just my save that is messed up and not the game.

    I've rewinded, started episodes again and even deleted everything (game, updates, and saves) to start again completely fresh.

    Nothing has worked.

    The error for me first pops up during episode 2, right after the injured person you return with comes back (going to try and avoid spoilers even now).

    I've played through with no issue, finally thinking that all is well, only to be blocked from playing at the point of crossing the street via the sign in Episode 5.

    Now don't get me wrong, I don't expect any game to be perfect, but if they can't fix this issue then at last tell us. Let us know to stop waiting for a fix.

    Yeah I just tried a new save and I got this pop up when I got the screwdriver out of the truck in the motor inn on Episode 1. This is ridiculous, so we can't play this game at all now? I'm so pissed off about this.

    I know how you feel. The fact that the error pops up at random means you can't enjoy any of the episodes.

    Say anyone with this problem got the disc version of this game, do you think we'd still get the problem? Even if not, I am not happy paying more money to Telltale though so I probably won't get the disc version anytime soon. Or I'll probably just get a used copy or something.

    I've decided to start badgering them on Facebook about this.

    If they are willing to promote the new DLC, then they have to accept that I am going to keep posting about how I can't play the game because of this error.

    Right yeah, I'm in the UK too. I got told to delete the save off my hard drive and then start again. I'm gonna try this, but I want to have a save for when 400 Days comes out.
