HELP! The Walking Dead 400 Days Issue

I have downloaded both the disc and digital version and installed them,

However,

The game itself, The Walking Dead,

When launched does not seem to recognise it and still displays the "buy" sign on the downloaded content section?

Can anybody help with this please?

Thanks!

Same here, in Episode List it also still says "Coming Soon".

Help with this would be very nice!

What platform do you have problem with?

    I'm on PS3.

That's weird. THe game should be out on the PS3, at least if you live in the US. EU gets it later.

    Yeah exactly the same!

Still says "coming soon" and on the screen with episode lists all the other 5 say "installed" yet 400 days says "buy: out now" :S

    I'm also on PS3,

I must have re downloaded it about 6 times, tried one by one, both downloads and nothing, still won't recognise.

Hopefully someone knows how to fix this!

There was a dl after I bought the DLC so I thought it was the DLC. It stated "buy" not "preorder".....

Edit: Ok, download is on the way. :)

If you have an EU (or other than US) account where you purchased and installed Season 1 of The Walking Dead, and have now purchased the US version of the DLC (using a US account), you will not be able to play 400 Days as the US DLC is not compatible with the EU version of the game (or vice versa).

You can double-check which digital version of the game you have pretty easily. First start the game and check to see if there are any available updates. If not, exit to the XMB, press triangle on the game itself and select 'Information'. If you have version 1.06, you have the EU version. If you have version 1.07, you have the US version. If you have a lesser version number, then you were not connected to PSN when you started the game the last time. Please connect to PSN and launch the game again.

Okay, thank you for clearing that up!
But just to be sure, on the 10th i will be able to play 400 days, when it is officially released in the EU?

And could you tell us why their needs to be a later Release in the EU than in the US?

Please be aware that the EU version an US version are different. Buying one will not give you access to the other. The EU version will be available on the 10th. US and EU submissions are handled by SCEA and SCEE, respectively, so the time frames to certify this content can differ.

Okay - that's good to know, I've got the same problem: EU Version of TWD and US-Version of 400D. But just to be clear: Now I need to buy the EU Version on the 10th July again - so I'm paying twice for the same product? If I had known about the incompability, I would've waited. So I guess I just donated you guys 5$...

You can try contacting Sony Support to explain the situation. They may be willing to offer you a credit or refund so you can acquire 400 Days from the EU store on the 10th.

You can download the first episode demo for free from the US store and you can play the 400 days episode via the us version of the game but without your save. I was in the same situation like you I tried that and it worked.

Quite a few people are having this problem, myself included. I emailed Telltale Games about it a week ago and I've still not heard back from them (except an automated message with a ticket number). What I've learned since then from the board here is that you can play the game by downloaded the demo for Episode 1 and accessing 400 Days from there. However be advised that if you do that you won't be able to save your game and also it's quite likely that if you die you'll experience a "black screen" (which has been talked about a lot here) and if so you'll have to restart the game. Hopefully Telltale is working on this, but - as I've said - I've heard nothing at all from them.

  • I have the same problem. Bought the disc version of Walking Dead from the US (because it took you over a year to release it here in Australia)and now have just donated you $8 because the 400 days download through Playstation store isn't compatible. Please either fix this or advise me how I can get a refund. (It does not state anywhere when you purchase 400 days that it is only compatible with the same media format/ geographically region as the one originally purchased)

  • I have just downloaded the 400 days adon from the playstation store in Germany and own a Region 1 Version of the Walking Dead Episodes 1-5.
I must say that I am upset, that the downloadable content is not compatible. Also there is no Episode 1 demo I can download to get it to work.

All the came ever tells me is "coming soon".

Please fix this issue, I am definatly upset with this bug, as I just paid money for a product that does not work.
