Steam Version wont start

Hi Guys,

Just got the Steam Version of Poker Night 2 and installed it and it goes to a black screen and (sometimes) says Loading... then crashes.

This is very odd to me as Poker Night 1 works wonderfully.

I have verified the files through Steam.
I have un-installed/re-installed
I tried running as Admin/Comparability mode (XP SP1/SP2)
I ran the DXSETUP and rebooted

Nothing seems to work. I know it was only $2.50 but I bought it because I wanted to play not have it sit in my library gathering dust.

Any help would be wonderful.

    Please check the properties of the Steam.exe, your Steam icons, and the games .exe files, and disable any compatibility mode settings.
    Sometimes compatibility mode is checked, but is grayed out. Then you have to click on "Change settings for all users" at the bottom to disable the checkbox.
    Afterwards try if the game works.

    I found that my Steam Shortcut and .exe was in compatability mode for Vista...not sure why but that still didn't help, same thing.

    I had a case were it was still running in compatibility mode afterwards. You can check in the registry.

    If that's not the case, please post the event log of a recent start. Maybe there's some change now.

    Also, please post your dxdiag info.

    Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
    Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.
    Windows 8: At the start screen, type in "dxdiag" and hit enter

    Now click on the button that says "save all information".
    It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.

    Open the file and press Ctrl+A followed by Ctrl+C to copy the contents, and paste them in a reply by pressing CTRL-V.
