Sorry to interrupt, and be so mean (I hate crashing parties)... But Those who feel the need to race through a adventure and be the first one done, have missed the point of the game entirely... Whats even worse is that they post about it here for their own self gratification, you all should be ashamed.

If you think about it, beating the game and getting 100% is something we are all going to do eventually...

Being the first to "beat" an episode (2 hours after its release) is not much of an achievement... All it means is that they shot through the game (likely missing a good portion of the content) and that they have to wait longer than everyone else for the next installment (think about that one too ;)).

The posters in this tread are going to be the posters in other threads who are (and will be) saying, "OMG! i never knew that was in there" and "oh, i never knew you could to that".

Also, just cause you got the top rank does not mean you have seen everything in the episode... (i could list 50 things that have no affect on your rank at all)

I completed the game late last night (i am sure there were dozens before me, and there will be dozens after me, but i don't care), because I took the time to actually "finish" the game... (i also played it twice so i could complete events in a different order and hear the alternate dialogue).

But don't get me wrong, I think its cool to post and compare race times, high scores, etc... But don't post about how you flew through the rest of the game... Its an insult

I beat it, 9:08 AM Wednesday, August 13th. EST.

I beat the game on 8-12-08 at 8:10 pm pacific time on the wii.

My highest score on sb5 is 17 or 18 I forgot

Me gots it! August 13th, 2008, at 10:10 AM EST

    SB5 Level: 18
  • don't forget me! August 12th, 11:32 am CST!

    SB5 Level: 23

@ Dangerzone: I played the game twice... once to look and laugh at all the funny content. (not to mention find a bunch of Easter Eggs) and another time to quickily get 100%

I did it yesterday, so August 12, at around 9:00 EST.

We here at Videlectrix don't appreciate Mr. Telltale's idea that games should be won. If you look at our games, they always fight you until they win! Infinite replay!! Even Peasant's Quest, which ENDS, ends in
    Rather Dashing losing.

    100% August 13th 12:00 pm

I recently got "100%" on the game. Considering I felt like I was taking my time with it, I was disappointed that it didn't last longer. I can't really see how you can apply the speed run philosophy to an adventure game. I enjoy these games because that's not what they're really about, I've never been all that good at "competitive" gaming...

An Adventure game, though, is a game of exploration and puzzle-solving. These activities...shouldn't be rushed. To rush through is...to miss out, I think. To hurt the experience for yourself.

I'm gonna go play some more Snake Boxer now. That 19th snake is a cheater. =(

We disagree. We feel that a happy ending is not necessarily the best way to top things off. We could argue the issue, but we doubt that anybody is taking anything seriously around here. We happen to like it that way. We represent the Lollipop Guild.

I've got 2 problems with this thread:

    1) It's not a hint, tip, or request for help, so it shouldn't be in this section.

    2) It encourages people to rush through the game as quick as possible. You are suppose to savour the entertainment that the game provides. If start putting up lists like this, people are going to sit on the server on Ep. 2 launch day, download as soon as possible, run though the game skipping cut-scenes to save time, just to get their name at the top of the board. This devalues the experience.

You would be surprised what people would do when they are put in a competitive mind-set. I would prefer to see people posting that they got it straight away, haven't completed it, but are enjoying every second. That would be a far greater success than getting 100% within an hour of release. Instead of posting a list of quickest times, try creating a thread that will enrich peoples experience.

i just need the tgs high score, 2 more tgs ideas, 2 more trophies and sb5 high score.
so what percent does that make me?

In response to this, I disagree with the statements above, I made this thread so that people can say "Hey, look! I completed the game" not "Hey, look how fast I completed the game!" (and Im not planning on doing it for ep2). And just so you know, I am 3rd on the list, I completed the game to 100% the day It came out and I have missed very little in the game, a few lines of dialogue, the total load in strong mad's locker. Thats really about it.

Dude, *goes into rant of how video games are not to enjoy, merely for competition, and sounds like some Billy Mitchell clone*.:p

The reason why it looks like a competitive thread is because when you list the names, you give them a rank (i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd). Also, I think earlier you requested the time of completion in the post. Am I imagining that, was it someone else, or did you edit it out?
