  • People are really analyzing this pretty well, I need to pick up the pace, I never though of some of these things.

  • All too true. :) As I stated, I'm just going off of what I was able to physically see. Nothing more. It could have been someone totally different, too, as some fairy tale creatures fit that "short" description. I'm just basing my assumption on what was told to me, through the game play. :D

Also, thanks for the tidbit of information. ;)

Well, let's just say that the dwarves in Fables are decidedly not friendly. And given how Snow left the dwarves in the comic, I don't see any reason for them to come looking for her. But hey, you never know.

  • That's what you've gotta love about TTG. Half of the love goes toward the game, the other half goes toward the forums. Fun on two fronts. :)

  • I have to agree, I guess even after all the bad changes it did not stop people being nice and really smart, I guess life really does find a way.

  • In the achievements it says something about a sisters meeting. Holly will be making an appearance.

I don't know who the killer is..I guess if I had a magical animal skin cloak that i could use to shit gold by saying a magical word it would make me and my family a target. especially since a lot of the fables weren't able to escape with their wealth and titles like snow white which would make her a target as well and from the comics her ex husband is always trying to get money from her so i can't really rule out Prince charming.

I don't understand why slum lord toad had access to the mayors office and actually wrote in the book of symbols but somehow turns up with a cloak that appeared in the very same book with the magic word. toad also can't afford glamors so the cloak would be beneficial to him.

I don't trust the mirror, the old king might not even be dead all i know is there is a skeleton arm with a arrow next to it, the book of symbols also has arrows in it. The king could be using an archer as an assassin(robin hood?). or it could be faith, fake your own death to rule yourself out, she might have some help from rose red and her boyfriend their a bunch of schemers.

  • Yeah so that pick with the red head driving the Taxi proves that he was the last one with Snow. Though I'm thinking that he is red-headed for a reason. Red-head = Red herring? I'd hope so.

  • I like the headless horseman idea. But I know the real killer.

Collin did it. He get's a little booze in him, and things get dicey. Traumatized by his brothers being gobbled up by Bigby, and constantly huffed and puffed from couch to couch, basically a door mat to Bigby for centuries, he's snapped and is enacting his revenge. Nothing to lose. An insane pig with thirst for grain alcohol...and blood.

  • Maybe he's going to take only one, specific head, as revenge. Rest of them would be left as the message, something like 'I'm coming after you'

probably Bluebeard remember the horseman didn't leave heads, he took them.

If it's him, I doubt if he's involved in those murders. Boy who cried wolf was mentioned in the Fables, and he's peacefully living in Woodlands. Wouldn't do it if he had such bloody past.

the theory now is that the "redhead" is the boy who cried wolf, but the headless horseman could still be involved

  • I really like all of this, and I completely agree the Ginger Man has shown up too often. I also believe there is definitely someone behind all of this. Someone "murdered" Faith and Snow. I use quotations because I don't think anyone's been murdered at all. First proof, at Crane's office when you can view Faith's father, he is dead. Remember, you can view the dead. But when you view Faith, the mirror says she is attached to some strong magic and ends his explanation with the words my lips are sealed which is exactly what Faith said to avoid answering. This could only happen with magic. We can gather the assailant is in charge of Faith or someone she knows. Only person we know fitting this description is the Pimp.
Second proof, When investigating the head, Bigby mentions the cut can only have been made by something very sharp, and/or with magic . Woody's axe happens to be enchanted with Druid magic, btw. Magic has had such a part in this, magic could only be what "killed" them.
If Faith was dead, there would be no magic on the head, preventing you from seeing the head.

Woody didn't do it, I think. At first sight he'd be perfect, but seemed truly shocked at Faith's death. But he knows something, definitely. The preview after you take him hints at it as well at the Tweedles' continued interest. Getting him ensure the Tweedles are close as well as getting exactly what the boss wants.
The Tweedles wouldn't need info from Woody if they could just get it from Faith. So they didn't take her.
Lawrence is innocent. He has questions just like us.
Bluebeard is Far away, he probably couldn't do anything, despite his past.
The Pimp is most likely, his abilities is unknown, he is her boss and is probably the source of the saying these lips are sealed . I think he did it or the ginger man.

  • Has anybody thought of Grimble, it's easy just to sit there and pretend sleep. also he knows when tenants come and go so he could time placing the head for snow to find.

  • maybe its someone not yet shown in epsiode 1 hmmmmmmm

  • Naah. Grimble is decent one. And probably much too lazy for that.

  • I am highly suspicious of Colin as the killer! He could have done it while using a glamour spell. He must have glamour in order to get off the farm from time to time!

  • Wait, has anyone suggested that mayor? He is SKETCHY AS FUCK and Snow & Bigby kept discussing him! I will LOL so hard if he turns out to be in charge of some prostitution ring, for real tho

  • Clue 1: After saving faith... You ask who her employer is... she states "her lips are sealed... (due to an enchantment; the mirror confirms this.) do you like my ribbon?" If you ask her why she is changing the subject, she tells you that she is answering your questions to the best of her ability. She is hinting that the ribbon is the most important clue she can give you. After that statement, Wolf thinks she looks familiar... that ribbon is connected to his past... Red wears a ribbon in the story book on the mayors desk... I am 90% sure red riding hood is the killer... all the people who are killed are left for wolf to find and are woman he has met/care about.

  • You mean Ichabod? Maybe not in charge of one but I'm willing to bet that his "massage" appointments aren't exactly shiatsu.

My guess is that Bluebeard is the one running the prostitution ring or whatever shady scheme is going on here and Ichabod's just covering for him to keep the kickbacks coming. I doubt either of them are directly involved in the "murders" themselves though.

You know wha? I was having second thoughts about Tweedles, and I thought they have nothing in common with the murder or the murderer. I dunno, that just somehow sounds reliable for me, that they are investigating that crime too - surely for some other purposes and by nastier, more illegal methods than Bigby does, but still counts. After being caught by Bigby, Dum told ' We are on the same team' and when asked what was he doing in Lawrence's apartment, he said something like 'What you should be doing, investigate!'. I think that really isn't the story you would like to made up when you are caught by the law, it's not much reliable at all, so probably it is a true. My theory? Bluebeard is paying them for getting something, what Woody had. Meanwhile Faith stole it from him, just to get some money. Unfortunately for Tweedles, someone killed her the very same night. So they are following the most obvious lead and are looking for murderer, because they hope he has that thing they're looking for. Make sense for me, so I'm personally crossing Tweedles and Bluebeard from suspects list for now.

  • Well, she's no suspect for readers of Fables (she appears there after some time), so that's why they aren't mentioning her.

  • Anyone notice that Twiddle Dee lied about Lawrence shooting himself. He said it happened after the mention of Faith's death, but if you investigate the gun and shell casing before that Bigby says the gun hasn't been fired in a week or more.

  • If that is the case, then it is no one mentioned. I haven't see the comics. I doubt the pimp has anything to do with it.

  • So the question is... What does that ribbon symbolize then?
    Wolf: Who is your employer?
Faith: Sorry... these lips are sealed.
    Faith: Like my ribbon?
Wolf: Stop changing subjects and answer my questions!
Faith: I am trying to answer them the best I can.!?!?!?!?!?!

    THE RIBBON IS THE ANSWER!

If you can play through again, look back to the books on the desk and look at the wolf vs the woodsman pic. You can clearly see red standing behind the woodsman with a pink ribbon holding cape/cloak. I also noted that beauty has a pink ribbon as well... Hmmm...

  • I also noticed that you run into the redhead while chasing Dee. When you have to hit Q rapidly to lift the couch, the man that is stuck under the couch is the redhead.

  • I also caught notion of that man in the suit but I also can't help but think Colin might have something to do with this, does anyone else think the same?

  • Yes but however if you tell Lawrence his wife is dead when hiding in the closet if you wait long enough he will shoot himself, Dee was telling the truth, the mention of his wife dead drove him even more suicidal.

  • I actually didn't suspect Colin, the pig, but when I read the titles of the chapters of episode 5 I had serious doubts.
The titles that reminded me of the three little pigs story are:
-A house of straw (chapter 2 of episode 5)
-The north wind blows (chapter 5 of episode 5)

Plus, this title:"My last cigarette" in chapter 4 of episode 5, reminds me of Colin too because he asked Bigby for a cigarette and he seemed to be used to it.But it may also simply refer to Bigby himself.Colin is not the character you have in mind when you are looking for the killer and that is why it might be him, someone we didn't suspect.Someone that appeared to be friendly and harmless from the beginning. But he still remembers what Bigby did to him.
However, while reading all the other titles, especially the titles of episode 4 : "There once was a wolf who ruled the land.He was much feared but soon he mended his evil ways and all were happy",it makes me think that it is more likely a conspiration against him from all the fables that he terrorized.
What do you think ? Do you think it is possible to guess some major elements out of these titles ?

  • The north wind refers to wolfs father.

  • Does Alice appear on the Fables comics? I don't remember seeing her, though her universe is really present here, with the two Tweedles, the Jabberwocky page, the decapitation... We also know that Holly's sister is missing. I originally thought that Holly may be the killer to prove a point, but she looks just so surprised when she learns that Faith was killed... I think her sister may have returned and seek revenge. I don't know if she's related to Alice of the Queen of Hearts, but we do know the Queen of Hearts like bodyless heads...

  • she's still back in fairy tale land, wolf said she didn't make it out and even then the comics say she kept to her self.

Alice's only appearance in the Fables comics to date, if I recall correctly, is as a prisoner in the Golden Boughs Retirement Village... But even shortly after that she vanished during a big battle: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Boughs_Retirement_Village

  • He must have glamour in order to get off the farm from time to time!

Not really. That's why Bigby gets so annoyed with him leaving the Farm. He just runs through the streets as a pig before anyone can stop him.

  • I thought about that, but it seems unlikely. Yes, he's a jerk, but a lot of his attitude had to do with his annoyance that this was happening on his watch. He's mostly just your typical politician, only concerned with watching his own back. And he's got a lot to lose by having a bunch of unsolved murders being committed without being able to stop them.

That said, it wouldn't surprise me at all to find out that the murderer is trying to send Crane a message or that Crane is covering for someone. Especially with this whole theme they seem to be establishing about disenfranchised fables that the system has left out in the cold. It could well be that the bad guy turns out to have some populist agenda and is doing this to show how Crane has failed the regular people of Fabletown.
