Tried to play TWAU on Steam and crashed

I purchased TWAU and went to steam to play hit play and said an error occurred. Could not start game in steam. Went to Program fo;ders as directed by steam but files not there to re-execute. Can I re download? Trying to but steam does not have a re-download.

Also followed verify integrity steps and steam said all files verified okay.

    If it verified okay, the files should be in the steam library location.
    I can look what's going on.

    Please follow the instructions to run the TWAU Support Tool and post the download link to the resulting "TWAU_support_data_pc.zip" or "TWAU_support_data_mac.zip" to your next reply in this thread.

    Problem signature:
    P1: TheWolfAmongUs.exe
    P4: DINPUT8.dll

    That's a known Windows 8 issue. Please see the support FAQ under "PC: Windows 8 - The game doesn't start"
