Black screen after launch

This is a support request I'm doing for a friend having problems running The Walking Dead on Steam.

When he try to launch the game, Steam is telling him the game is launching, but when it launches his screen flicks to a black screen then it stays on the that black screen. He can hear the menu sounds though.

Edit: he have tried completely re-installing; deleting all folders etc. He also tried to verify the game cache, but without any luck.

    Update: He fixed it by going into Window-mode with ALT+ENTER. However, if he tries to change his resolution ingame to his native the mouse keeps jumping out of the screen, not allowing him to accept the changes.

    Hey can try pressing Alt-Enter again directly after clicking Apply. Then the mouse should be on the screen to confirm the changes.

    Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (30Hz)

    If the TV accepts it, he can also try setting the refresh rate to 60 Hz in the graphics driver settings.

    He sends his regards, it worked out just fine. He can now use his native resolution and he don't get this black screen anymore.
