Crashing on iPad Air/iOS 7

Just received my iPad Air and bought the full bundle. I know it's an excellent game, however shortly after paying for the bundle, the game crashed. The game crashes immediately, when I try to start it. Any solution or fix on the way?

  • Crashed on Ipad air.. Really??? I uninstalled and tried re-install and get error message when trying to Restore purchases. error message reads..."This is not a test user account. Please create a new account in the sandbox Environment" HUH??????? Sounds like there are many issues with this game now. Please fix

  • I'm having the exact same problem on my iPhone 5s. Just purchased the 400-days bundle and now the app won't start!! Honestly guys, this HAS TO BE ON TOP OF YOUR PRIORITY LIST. Please don't ignore the people buying your games and giving you our hard earned cash!

  • I'm having the same issue with my iPad Air. The game was working fine, but then I purchased the 400 Days DLC. It asked me for my iTunes password and when I entered it the game crashed. Now, whenever I open the app it will ask me for my iTunes password and then crash immediately after I enter the password. I've tried deleting the app from my iPad Air and reinstalling from the App Store and the same thing is happening.

    This appears to be more related to iOS 7 than any one device. We are still looking into the cause and should have an update soon. If this is related to iOS 7, Apple Support may also be aware of the issue and be able to provide further assistance.

  • Having same problem on my new Air too. Crashing before the game starts after I bought all episodes and 400 days. Unacceptable.

  • Same problem with me on my new Ipad Air 32GB.
    Played through episode 1 and bought the episode 2-5 + 400 days bundle. The game is now crashing when I start it.

    Tried uninstall / install, turn power off / on and the VPN trick.
    Nothing worked for me, the game is still crashing when I open it!

  • I'm having the same problem on ipad 4 with ios7. I contacted apple support, and they sent me here... for $19.99, I'd really like a solution.

    We are aware of an issue on iOS 7 that is causing a crash for some users of The Walking Dead. It does appear that this is not isolated to our game as other developers have reported similar crashes on their products. At this time we are hoping for a resolution in the next OS update (iOS 7.0.4). However, if you'd prefer inquiring about a refund, please contact Apple's iTunes Support staff for further assistance.

  • just downloaded the free version on ios 7.0.3, played it till the end, tried to download the new 2-5+400 days version - did not work. Updated ios to 7.0.4. Manage to download the 2-5+400 days version and now NOTHING WORKS!!!!!!!!! - took my money - and now app crashes immediately upon trying to open the app.

  • Quick question: When the app crashes, does everyone get an Apple ID screen pop up, asking for you to type in your password for iTunes/App Store?

  • Same for me crashed after buying 2-5 + 400 days !!!! SO ANNOYING. Grrrrr. The Apple ID screen pops up occasionally but not every time I try to open the app. I have asked for a refund but really want to play :( when will this be fixed????

    Unfortunately iOS 7.0.4 does not seem to resolve this issue. We have reached out to Apple about this issue and are still hoping a fix will be added to a new version of iOS in the near future.

  • I have the same problem. Episode 1 worked well. I bought episode 2 ( about 5 Euros on Italian App Store!), but the download never started. I selected Restore Purchased and the app never started. Every time I launch the app it crashes!
    I would like to play this beautiful game!!!!

    The issue only exists on iOS 7.0.x due to a change in the way the OS communicates with the store. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do to fix this as it's Apple's code. When making an in-app purchase through our game, we are only contacting the Apple store. We have released a patch that we hope will resolve the persisten crash that players are reporting, but the initial crash and inability to purchase in-app will require an OS update.

  • Same thing happened. Never had a problem with the free episode. But when I bought the bundle for 19.99 it would never load. After deleting and then reinstalling app as they instructed it still never worked. I finally wrote to apple store and got a full refund. And I got the refund in less than 24 hours. Apple was awesome in taking care of this but these people need to take care of this problem!
