E1 Playthrough Decisions - Whats your Best Guess?

edited November 2013 in The Wolf Among Us

I played a few times finally discovering how to save Lawrence, who is then showed to be in next episode. He is a high POI as he knows the victim closely, and should be a valuable source of information next episode. Only way to save him I have seen is to visit him first over Toad, and choose Half-truth dialogue option and again the mirror shows him slumped in a chair with a bloody knife at his feet, seems he is a higher priority then Toad from that standpoint, Bigby even stating 'Toad may have to wait'.

From a detective standpoint in my opinion Woody needs to be brought in as he is a high POI and the last to see victim alive who had motive to kill her and even claimed he would. He is also the target of the Tweedles, meaning he most likely knows what they're lookin for and who is involved.

The significance of the other two choices are related to both victims, Giving Faith money & Defending Snow, which at this point is unclear to me how it can be consequential within next Episodes. I gave her money and Defended Snow by choosing Back Off option.

Thoughts.....arguments?

I'm not sure about the defending Snow choice, but I'm fairly sold on the idea that the giving Faith money choice will be used later (perhaps by the Boy who Cried Wolf) as an attack on Bigby's character, as the situation could have looked like Bigby had solicited Faith's services to an outside observer. Of course Toad is a witness to the contrary, but it seems like it's not possible to end Episode 1 on very good terms with Toad no matter your decisions.

  • Agreed, Toad, Grendel, Holly all seem to be disgruntled amongst the community outside the Woodlands, which they demonstrate in the game is being neglected. And yes Toad would be a character witness against that accusation from Boy, as aside from Woody he is only one who knows he couldn't have solicited her services.

For Bigby giving Faith money it could be used later if someone was spying on him on the street. He sees Bigby giving Faith money and it looks like he is paying her to use her services thus making him her last client. And for defending Snow,it may be related to the evolution of their relationship at the end of the season. If you defend her she will return your feelings.Or it could be a proof (in case someone later accuses Bigby of the murders) that Bigby loved her and didn't have any reason to kill her.

  • Jus finished an alternate playthrough doin the opposite of everything I did in my main game, and at the end in player choices it said I gave her money when I didn't, I even paid for my drink at Trip trap and tried to buy smokes.
