Maybe this story takes place before his time?
He is only standing at the entrance to the Woodlands during the day, watering the garden when the business office has breaks. He would be watering the garden when Bigby and Snow go to either Lawrence or Toad.
who was the guy at the counter when Bigby first went home? I thought that was trusty john

So far we've only seen the Woodlands at night. Trusty John is presumably asleep at that time.
I hope we see him in Episode 2. Also Flycatcher!
Come to think of it, does anyone know if Boy Blue is around at this point in the timeline?
I don't think we will see boy blue yet I don't think he works in the office until Snow White does I beleive that bufkin and or the forsworn knight have been there the longest.
The longest would be Crane, Snow White, Magic Mirror, Bufkin, and the Forsworn Knight. The last three never leave the office.
I hope we see Flycatcher, Boy Blue and Pinocchio! The best trio
They are great together in the comics wouldn't it be funny if they were some how the three musketeers
