Black screen and crash when i launch the game (PC)

I have a PC with windows 7 professional. I bought today the DLC 400 days. Steam says that the download is complete. When I launch the game , a black screen appear and it crash.

So i have deleted the game and i have donwload it again. But it didn't solve the problem, same thing happen.

I finished TWD season 1 along time ago, it was working great.

Can you help me ?

    Please delete the dinput8.dll from
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Walking Dead
    and verify the game cache files.

    If it still crashes, please rename the savegame folder
    C:\Users\nicolas\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead
    And try if the game starts properly.

    I just try to launch the game, steam then began to download something (for walking dead) , it stoped at 44%, then a black screen and a crash.

    That's weird.
    What did it say when you verified the game cache files?
    I suggest you try verifying and starting the game during a clean boot again. If it still crashes, please uninstall and reinstall the game.

    Booting clean in Windows Vista / 7:
    1. Click Start --> Type msconfig --> Press Enter
    2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
    3. Uncheck Load Startup Items
    4. Select the Services tab
    5. Check Hide all Microsoft services
    6. Click Disable all
    7. If running the game on Steam, re-check the "Steam Client Service"
    8. Click on OK
    9. Click Restart.
    10. After reboot, run the game to see if it works.

    After performing the necessary steps, restore your settings by doing the following:

    1. Click Start --> Type msconfig --> Press Enter
    2. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
    3. Click Ok
    4. Click Yes, when asked to restart your computer

    There is no problems with the cache files.

    I did the clean boot, same problems.

    I did uninstall and reinstall the game, it still doesn't work.

    I am not sure what causes it. There's a couple of things you can try though.

    • Installing the latest sound driver
    • Unplugging all non essential USB devices
    • Disconnecting from the internet before starting the game
