What's Next for TWAU ?

edited December 2013 in The Wolf Among Us

I know we're still waiting on episode 2, but does anyone think TellTale with ever make a Season 2 for TWAU, since they have two new games lined up?

  • I really hope they make a season 2 but with game of thrones and TWD and maybe even more new licences, given the delay of episode 2 I don't know if they will continue releasing different games at the same time.

  • Nah. Not a chance. The Walking Dead is a big franchise, Borderlands also, and GoT is a juggernaut. There ain't no chance they'll spend more than one season on the Fables - which is just a successful comic and nothing else.

  • You might be right :( but I hope they give every game at least 2 seasons.

  • I hope so. I know we are only one episode in but so far it is amazing.

  • I think that it should have 2 seasons as well because this is a really interesting choice making game and telltale games are making this seem that it might have a lot of story in it.

  • I was reading an interview the other day where they said that they approach everything with a season 2 in mind, I believe, but whether or not it happens tends to depend on the response. With regards to The Wolf Among Us in specific, they said there's an added complication with the game being a prequel (it'll get harder to mesh well with the comics in other words), but the challenge would be interesting. Something like that anyway.

As for the other games preventing development on season 2 of The Wolf Among Us, I wouldn't be so sure. They have 3 - 4 teams, do they not? If they have four, depending on whether they announce more games (which I doubt), I see no reason why the other games would prevent a 2nd season from happening.

  • I don't remember Telltale having a "multi-year, multi-platform, multi-title license" for the Fables series, but they did have it for TWD (hence a second season) as well as Game of Thrones. Take that for what it's worth.

I would've taken a season two of TWAU over TWD S2 any day. :(

  • That and what people dont relize these games even full seasons are around 10-12 hours of gameplay max so even if they had just 1 team thats not a whhhooole lot of gameplay compaired to most aaa games out there that takes alot more time too do.

  • If the season goes well then in 2015 there will be season two

  • idk but for how long it takes to get this thing out it damn well better be longer than 2 hours. Im talking 6 hours wich i know is long but shit this is ridiculous even if they aren't sticking to the monthly schedule thing.

  • It will still be 1:30:00 of episode

  • I don't see any reason why a second season shouldn't be produced. The game also has to sell well of course, but the premiere episode was fantastic, so I am sure that won't be any problem. :)
