Looks like we got our update. Puzzlebox informed others that they were hard at work...and will coutinue to do so...no other information was given. It would be easier if this information was sent out twitter, that way some people in this thread might have missed her comment.
I highly doubt that was the update. The real update will probably be posted somewhere where gaming journalists can see it and spread the news. Not many game journalists hang out here.

I think also we should start being careful with our comments on here. We're starting to cross the line from "acceptable impatience" to whining and insulting Telltale's staff, probably should be careful about that.

I disagree. Some people just express their point of view differently from others. I think your saying we should start to kiss their rear end. Normally we are patient. This is the going on the third month. It's not as if their giving these games away for free. We paid for them, we have a right to a least question the release date when its prolonged its 2nd month mark.
No one is insulting the staff. We are questioning the lack of communication and customer support, because there is none.

Me: Mirror, mirror tell me with ease, when will be the 2nd episodes release?
Mirror: Unfortunately I can't tell you the date, because tellt… moreale would swiftly seal my fate.
Me: Mirror, mirror tell me fast, what has the telltales staff done last?
Mirror: My vision is very hazy, but they seem pretty lazy.
Telltale games release some more update information on TWAU ep2, when finding out its an update about an update everybody LOSES THEIR MINDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
I was under impression we're talking about Telltale Game's team, which is composed (AFAIK) entirely of grown ups. Why would they react so childishly then? As putting back release date longer would only serve to sabotage TT budgets, and it's not like it'd be our wallets that'd be hit.

This isn't so much directed at TellTale as it is at the industry as a whole, but I really don't understand why the default stance all major developers seem to take when they hit a rough patch is to clam up and shut down. It's never made any sense to me.
Is it a fear of the reprisals from the consumers? Because time and time again, it seems their silence garners them far more backlash than anything else.
Are they concerned that, if they admit to running into trouble, they'll look incompetent, or that it might damage their image? Because failing to communicate in such as spectacular way (again, not specifically TTG, but Devs/Publishers in general) gives a far worse impression of incompetence and is vastly more damaging to consumers perceptions.
I honestly believe that if, instead of taking a vow of silence when trouble crops up, Devs were to do the exact opposite and provide exacting and in-depth explanations for their troubles, their consumers would rally behind them. Instead of leaving everyone in the dark, saying something like "We're having some trouble integrating some save-game features." or "Some of our in-game audio just isn't up to the quality level we'd like it to be to release confidently." or whatever the problem might be, I think that'd go a long way towards mending fences. More than that, it would give the community a sense of inclusion in the process, and possibly gain these companies a few more die-hard fans.
Thats not even to mentioning the fact that most of us here have waited 3 months, while they give away free episodes and reduce the price dramatically.
We have easily been patient enough.

I love how you say that but you just went ahead and put words in my mouth even though I've been just as critical of Telltale's release dates as you have, I'm just less aggressive about it. Don't do that please. I want you to go back and observe that everytime someone says something that isn't complaining (Even if it is justified) they get slammed with people making snide comments at them.

While I am excited about the new games they do not compare to the love I and other fans feel for The Wolf Among Us as well as the NEW-NEW episode of the Walking Dead! Since you are SO FAR behind of the release of the Walking Dead I would expect you are already developing the next episode. NO? Well, you should be! You SHOULD have hired staff to accommodate NEW endeavors since you promised your existing fan base new episodes of existing products!!!!! When will The Wolf Among Us be released? We are the people that will stick around through thick and thin despite industry standards!!! We have loved you since the beginning and I can't help but think of Leisure Suit Larry as a definite equivalent fan base!!!!
Welcome to the party. You missed all the really good bits. Been here since launch. I would say buckle down but if the stars are aligned and all of those animal sacrifices worked you won't have to.
dude your claim is ridiculous , we shouldn't complain because if we do they take revenge by delaying the game? come on... it's not like we get this game for free and I don't think that a company like TTG (especially after TWD which brought them their great break through) would play childish games with their customers and piss them off even more .
If they had the game already they would release it straight away , they had enough bad rep .
I think also we should start being careful with our comments on here. We're starting to cross the line from "acceptable impatience" to whining and insulting Telltale's staff, probably should be careful about that.
Telltale has brought me some of my best gaming experience and I am thankful for that. Now that this is out of the way...
Seeing people feeling like they have to defend a company that gives them a more than mediocre customer service is priceless.
What is pissing me off the most are those vague approximations, example: "early January" which means Jan. 15th or "late november to early december" which also means Dec. 15th. TT seems to always use those approximations to the limit...
I'm not even mentionning the fact that they managed to not respect those vague-ass deadlines and now we are waiting for updates about updates.
Patience has it's limits. Those games aren't free.

This waiting and wondering, unfortunately, isn't new to me with my being a loyal Half-Life fan. I guess I got used to the "when it's ready" mentality we always get from Valve whenever the subject of "when is HL3 coming" was asked.
Has TellTale always had two multi-chapter games being released at the same time? I know TWD chapters were still being released when they released Poker Night 2, but PN2 is different (read: no chapters).
They released TWD2 and TWAU pretty much at the same time. I wonder if working on two multi-chapter games is causing delays.

A final entry from me (a Swede, so excuse me for typos and other errors). Many complain about delays and even being robbed because of delays. Then wait till the games are completed. Others say that you only have to be grateful for gifts. NO, I'm grateful that there are great games being made that I have the opportunity to buy. The choice is yours. And why are there so many haters on the community? Go elsewhere then. I can really understand why Telltale stay away and do what they do best.

Yea they might purposely withhold the game even longer to get back at us...

The promised update will probably be another 2 pics and "further updates will come at the end of this month"
Stop whining and be thankful for Telltale's great games.
It was sarcasm my friend.Telltale would never do something as stupid as that...I hope
I couldn't agree more, it's getting a bit out of hand
How much is Telltale paying you?

Just my two cents

Then sorry Just it's really hard to feel whether you're sarcastics over interwebs.

That's not an okay attitude to have.
Any News On Episode 2 Yet?
Just finished up Episode 1 that is some cliffhanger. Can't wait for E2!

Now that I think about it Smoke & Mirrors is a good description for the wait too.

I think telltale fell in the toilet and cant get out.
Telltale's reaction when fans get angry about the delays of the wolf among us :
dude your claim is ridiculous , we shouldn't complain because if we do they take revenge by delaying the game? come on... it's not like we get this game for free and I don't think that a company like TTG (especially after TWD which brought them their great break through) would play childish games with their customers and piss them off even more .

Ounce upon a time there was a wolf who was sherrif and he found two heads on the floor....The End!
I want season 2. I'll buy a season pass TODAY!
Damn, you might be right. Let's all pretend we don't care!
Well, then you still have to wonder how long is going to take Bigby to say "Previously on the wolf among us"
Me: Telltale, Telltale heed my call, ignore your customers and end at the food stall of a mall!
Mirror: What you say may be true, but it isn't a question so get a clue.
Me: Mirror, mirror I just stated what I thought, as a complain for the seasonpass I bought.
Mirror: This isn't a question neither, so I can't answer either.
Me: Mirror, mirror shut up for your better, or the neighbors will hear something shatter.
Nothing, just a paying customer who love their games.
Now that's a twist.
No, no, no, man. Animal sacrifices are so bronze age. Satan's standards have risen. He wants the latest iPhone with plugin Candyskull headphones.
