  • You know what happens when mainstream picks up a story, it gets something done. It's not about money. It's about their business practices. This is not for me, for safety of all customers. I need to get more attention then not buying it. I'm letting my voice known and this is still America

We have freedom of speech or did u lose that in a civil war with tell tale

Okay, good. It's my humble opinion then that you should stop trying so hard to get Telltale to notice. They're not going to be swayed by this

  • Talking about pirating on an official forum, that's real smart.

  • Oh, sure.

But I just responded to Extra_Nice as I always interpreted pirating game for yourself more as screwing with people who paid for it than with company. (As unless you actively seeded / propagated / etc. piracy, you don't hurt company more than by just refusing to buy game.)

I think it's clear that they were misleading, but their promises were so vague and weasle-like that it might be hard to nail it down as a clear lie until September, when "summer" is officially over. Best of luck to you, though! If it works, report back -- if we all go for it at once, it might send a message that clearly isn't being sent by our forum posts. "Gamers Vocally Angry" doesn't get the same kind of attention as "Mass Refunds Issued to Shafted TellTale Customers."

You do have Freedom of Speech, but this is a privately owned forum, in which the mods can ban whoever they'd like.

This isn't something worth raising a pitchfork over. This is an uncharacteristic delay of an episodic game that a company has dealt with rather horrendously.

The most action that makes sense is to ask for a refund if you feel you deserve one and to be more careful about future purchases.

Thanks, Dan. That's exactly how I feel.

As angry as everyone is, no one is going to not play their games when it comes out. It's just too good.... and Telltales knows it. If you are on this forum saying you are going to boycott them, you are either lying or just a unrealistic person. It kinda feels like we are getting punked-out in a way. "Oh you mad because we aren't giving you any type of common courtesy? So what! You are still gonna give me my money.... bitch."

Velg81 my suggestion is the only realistic way to "downvote" their wallets.

  • Telltale is dishing some new information on The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead Season 2. The developer has released a new shot of Bigby and Jack (best known for his climb up the beanstalk). Episode 2 of that series, titled Smoke and Mirrors, will be coming ** after the holidays.**

The Walking Dead Season 2 is almost upon us. Telltale expects a release this month, and Steam has the release date pegged at December 17, 2013. The second zombie-filled adventure series will be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Mac, and iOS.

Telltale is going to have its hands full advancing two major series at the same time. This will be a big challenge for the studio, but with big risk comes big reward.

  • Lol.. I've noticed some comments being removed above. I guess the free speech side of the forums is starting to go away a bit.

Course i completely understand all the frustration and anger by how things have been handled. I am frustrated as well. Which is why I put my energy into building a new computer and am just now waiting for it to get all done so I can try it out on the most demanding games out there, lol..

Apparently my GPU setup will be 300% more then what is required to run crysis 3 with everything maxed to the fullest, including resolution, etc.. That is before I even begin to overclock, haha.. HURRY UP COMPUTER! I WANT YOU IN MY MOUTH!! Lol.

  • Lol.. dude You're in no position to do a Grammer check after your previous post. Just sayin.

Lol.. And what ticks me off is that they can't even handle 2 games at once, yet they are adding 2 more to the pile.. Don't get me wrong.. I LOVE the idea of a games of thrones with that style of gameplay.. yet.. I know it will just delay everything to the extreme if they don't take another look at their business plan.. As it is obviously in need of some polish with the resulting anger from everything so far..

  • No it's not. It's unfair and selfish to say that because of the time they're taking with the release and the manner in which they're handling it that you're entitled to their product for free.

If you want the play the game that they've made then you should have to pay for it. If you don't want to endure the wait between episodes you should just buy them all at the end of the season.

You made me think of this scene from southpark: "Cable Company"
"Oh, you want information on The Wolf Among Us? You want us to release it in the first quarter of 2014? I'm sorry, our company doesn't work that way [...] At Telltale Games, the customer is always... our bitch. "

  • I think the strongest message you can send to TellTale if you feel strongly about is to contact TT's customer support and ask for a refund of your paid season pass for TWAU. If you bought it via Steam, contact Steam's customer service and ask for a refund.

Explain the situation, including lack of info from the company. Make sure you include the transaction number that is on your receipt.

Honestly, I'm still on the fence if I will do this. If it continues, I will certainly ask for a refund.

  • The cruel thing is that PC gamers can't even buy single episodes. They have to fund the game in before or wait for all episodes.

No, the only legal (and morally right) way to do so, is to not play the games. Otherwise you're just stealing. You want to get the content for free. Downvoting with your wallet means not getting the content at all. Very different.

Are you seeing what's about to happen here? Wake up!

If this is the kind of treatment you're giving us with Smoke & Mirrors; I can't imagine the horrors that await us when A House Divided gets delayed as well. I can't believe I was stupid enough to get the season pass for both games, thinking they'd keep their timeframe of episodes coming 4-6 weeks apart. Lesson learned.
