  • Of course. That's why I'm saying it.

As for The Walking Dead they exceed their 4-6 weeks timeframe around February 3. THis means they have to release The Wolf Among Us no later than mid-January, or it'd be too close to The Walking Dead.

Uh.. You do know that's in a couple of days lol? Don't be too hopeful. If anything, it'd probably come out in Late January. And as for TWD - e

  • I regret buying a season pass. My regret doesn't stem from the wait, it stems from the fact that paying customers are being given the silent treatment when they've paid money. We can cope with a longer wait between episodes, but the silence from Telltale is infuriating and offensive.

  • The longer they remain silent on this issue the more aggravating this becomes.

And I'm not referring to just having an update on episode 2. They need to address the issue, and talk to us.

  • I can understand why everyone feels ripped off, but honestly, good things are worth waiting for, and I know telltale is going to deliver the goods sooner or later, so it doesn't bug me the slightest bit, i'm glad I have the season pass for both TWD S2 And TWAU. It was a good investment and I know I won't be disappointed with the games, to pass the time I have been playing through all of Season 1 again and some other games since there are so damned many. If I was a member of Telltales staff and saw all of you complaining like you are now, I'd say to hell with you all and not release shit. Plus they never said that episodes for TWAU would be released every 2-6 weeks, like they did with TWD S2

  • The wait doesn't annoy me in the slightest. They should take all the time they need to continue making awesome stuff.

But ignoring the problem IS annoying.

  • Hi, I'm new.

I played the demo of TWAU and decided I'd buy it when it was released on the Vita.

I know the Vita release is "coming soon" but I'd like for it to happen soonish.

As for Ep 2, I agree with everyone here that the wait has been very long, and whilst I understand the staff are busy etc, an update would be appreciated. Even a "we're sorry for the delay but we know we have lots of eager TWAU-players out there looking forward to Ep 2 and we're absolutely working on it as fast as we can" would be appreciated.

I think everyone here knows that there is red tape and lots of issues running a game development company and dealing with high-profile IPs, so even if the explanation is "corporate red tape" I think everyone here will be very understanding of that.

But yes, I do hope for an update on Ep 2 as well as the Vita release soonish. The Australian Classification Board thing as well as the Steam update suggest things are happening, so I seriously doubt Telltale are just making things difficult for us (its hard to make a profit by antagonizing customers). But a little bit of communication, even of the "hi, thanks for looking forward to our game, we know the wait has been longer than expected but trust us, we're working on it!" variety would be welcome.

  • Then I'm glad you're not a TT staff member because that would show appalling customer care. I'd rather have the staff be silent than disrespect paying customers.

  • TWAU was updated yesterday if you look at Steam Database. So they are working on it, so relax people

  • Touche' sir, but i'd rather not release jack if our fanbase/customers, are going to be a bunch of impatient and disrespectful assholes about the wait. We also need to consider that Holiday season has just passed, and that the Telltale staff consists of people with lives, and families. They can't spend every second working on these games ya know?

  • I don't think they are ignoring anything, just working diligently, It would be nice to be getting more updates through their blog once in a while, but I'm pretty sure they aren't going through any problems with development.

  • Well yeah every second up to a degree on a working day should be spent working on these games... It's their job. They get money for this.

  • In refelection, I gotta say, I didn't care about the waiting for the first two months. But then, on 5th or 6th December, TT gave an interview that they will give an update on the release date of TWAU short after the holidays. I was happy, and anticipation was created in me. Then, on January 5th, I googled for news on TWAU - nothing. I waited, and waited, and waited, and came to the conclusion that January 10th isn't really what I would call "short after the holidays". I signed up on this forum, saw the anger and started to feel it. Maybe it's wrong, maybe it's righteous, but the delay, the lack of communication and the anger of the fans didn't only create a distance between Telltale and a big part of it's fanbase, but only divided the community itself into fans who are starting to hate on Telltale because of their "mistakes" and other fans, who hate on the hating fans. This collective failure is hurting Telltale so much and I think the staff itself is annoyed by the NDA's or whatever forces them to remain silent.

Due to the small signs occuring (Updates on SteamDB etc.) and the fact that Thursday is a common day for games to be released, I think that we can expext at least an update on the release date of TWAU on the coming Thursday.

Still, if next week is another week of silence, the raised anticipation caused by only small signs can quickly turn into more hate, chaos and disappointment. [ I trust you Telltale, don't mess this up!]

  • I wasn't being disrespectful or impatient. I said the silence is frustrating. I don't expect them to spend every waking moment developing the game, but I do expect information / updates when I've paid for a season pass. The wait doesn't bother me: the silence does.

  • Agreed :) but the customer still has a right to express their disappointment, and a when a company doesn't respond to complaints as widespread as this, it doesn't reflect well on them :p

Truth is regardless of what they do or how long the wait is, once it comes out 98% of everybody who was mad will forget until april when were still waiting for episode 3.. I love telltale, their stories have been top notch and among my all time favorite.. yet they did this same thing with the walking dead season 1.. episode one came in april and was stated one month per episode.. that was later changed, but the truth is each episode took closer to 2.5 months per release..i say 2.5 months but in reality episode 2 took about 4 months.. the rest were about 2.5.. they have a bad habit with stating false release dates.. whether its intentional to promote sales.. or if its just a mistake by them idk.. i love them, but i really do get sick of this long silence between release.. atleast give updates or let us know whats going on or why its taken 14 weeks and counting for what they claimed would only be 4-6 weeks..

  • Do you know what the update means? I have no coding experience and while it is nice o know they are working on the game, this really means nothing to me. Does it give any indication on how much is left to do?

All that we can do is just WAIT ;))

  • I won't.....oh wait I didn't buy the game to begin with LOL. I won't forget the way Telltale has been treating it's fans. I'll pick up the season pass on Steam during this year's summer sale when it's less than $10 and hopefully episode 3 is out then...

  • well...I come back after two weeks and see this.

Nice, Telltale. Won't be buying another season pass for you. TWD might be an exception.

  • And what's a timely fashion?

I'd say it means, "roughly consistent with what we've seen from them in the past."

The same thing came up with Irrational Games and their Bioshock DLC.

DLC isn't an appropriate comparison. DLC follows a completed game, where as we've so far only received 20% of a game.
