The words "carotid artery" always remind me of a famous quote:
"I want to bathe in your flesh, I want to savor your fear. I wanna live inside a castle built of your agony, and I want to crumble it with an axe to your carotid artery!" -Krieg [Kinda fitting for the situation many TWAU-fans are in]
So, btt.: I have the feeling that today will be special. There MUST be some kind of update on TWAU today. I just KNOW it.
I wish TT would come down of its high horse. I expect a least a commitment that it is a delay, an explanation for it AND most important: an apology. Why can't I get rid of the feeling they are not going to do any of it. Seriously, TT - shame on you

They didn't even give us a release date for the walking dead S2 at a day before it released. Why wouldn't that be the case again? Please Steam, please leak the date again.
There could be a ton of reasons. My guess is they literally can't say anything unless given the ok by WB/DC/Vertigo/Willingham/whoever. It cou… moreld even be M$, Sony or Valve who are keeping them quiet. Non-disclosure agreements are incredibly common and TTG is working with bigger and more active licenses than they used to. So it's very probable that is why they don't say anything. They just can't.
... just my theory...
The problem is, the anticipation made me hype Episode 2 so much, that I can't be entertained by any other game I play, no matter how good it is.
I. NEED. IT.
NOW!
They must be producing a super duper secret Experience Episode. They better do.. i want a damn good Excuse for that much Silence. Generally i am pretty patient but the non communication is a joke.
Still not regretting the Season Pass Purchase though. I'd buy all of the Episodes anyway..
Have to admit that the radio silence is starting to drive me crazy like everyone else. I am not someone who regularly visits forums, but the anticipation has me checking this one daily.
I love what I have played from Telltale in the past but I have to admit that letting people pre-pay for these things and not actively keeping them informed seems like it may be detrimental to their customer relationships in the future. I worked for a game developer for a few years, I understand delays, but you've got money in your account and while you may not have a legal obligation to inform those who gave it to you, you probably should anyways.
Side note, why is this thread no longer stickied as of my visit today?

I read somewhere that there is an issue with this site that prevents the stickied threads from showing up on the home page, so one of the moderators unstickied it.

I regret buying the season pass back then in October. I know it's my own fault but I think it was not clearly communicated on the Steam page that the delay between the episodes will be around 3-4 months (I think it said something about 1-2 months but they removed this info apparently). It has been suggested before and I think it's a good idea to label these games as 'early access' on Steam. You pay in advance for something that's not finished yet, that's like handing out loans to game developers.
Probably the best thing to do is to wait until the whole thing is finished (in 'summer' 2014) and then watch it from start to end, or else just watch somebody else 'play' on youtube.

There's been a lot of upheaval at DC/Vertigo recently with their announced move to California. They've been cleaning house the last two months on several editors and staffers that have elected to leave rather than move. If DC/Vertigo has final approval on the licensed product, and if Telltale has been making the rumored significant changes to the story, I can see this combination causing all kinds of delay.
Several Marvel/Activision games were just pulled from the market Jan 1st due to Activision losing the Marvel license. One of the games (Deadpool) was released as recently as summer 2013. Licensing deals aren't always as sewn up as the developers and the publishers may think.
Unless the Fables IP has a new owner since ep1 was released, I'm pretty sure the deal would've been done with Willingham/DC Vertigo and Tellta… morele to create the whole season.
DC to Telltale - "Oh, you wanted to make more than 1 episode? Damn. Well uh, we're gonna have to rethink this..."
I don't think so.
If this is whats happening then its a messed up thing to do to your customers! Making TWD a priority to TWAU is stupid. If they can't dedicate different teams to different projects, focusing on one game at a time would be the smartest thing to do. I guess I wouldn't care about the release time if I already hadn't payed for the whole game!

''it's stickied, but not showing up, they're fucking us over''
-''here guys, it was a glitch so we unstickied it, hope it helps''
''oh, now you're REALLY going against us.''
Just ain't pleasing some people.

Telltale, you're missing a listing for 'Someone who gives a shit and can be bothered to communicate to the community'

I would wish for 2 apologies one for lack of honesty that they would be more informative and the other for not telling us there is a delay.
In hindsight, this sounds sooo naive

Valve is unlikely forcing them to keep quiet but i can see Sony/MS doing it

still no news....
it wasn't visible unless you clicked into the forums from the banner, and people were (falsey) attributing this to nefarious motives.

Makes sense
i think news is coming today
I don't.
It's bad enough Gamestop try's.to scam me....now telltale too!
It's a...conspiracy11!!

THIS
After 1 or 2 months it was okay, but now its hard to play anything without thinking...THIS ISN'T TWAO EPISODE 2.
I dont even know if the episode 2 will came
So guys remember all that about Diretide. Well.
Episode 2 will came. Don't you worry. It is caming.
seems like they have just forgot about TWAU
Unlikely.
Well Puzzlebox made a comment in a thread mention their work on it. Probably more effort is going into the TWD
Couple thoughts:

in the end finally it had be caming will.
just kidding....

They should focus on the oldest incomplete game most of all.
Another small update on the steam database http://steamdb.info/app/250320/#section_history i don't know what it means but hopefully they are working on something important.
1,1 GB patch on steam, anyone? Is it time?
4.3 megs for me. I'd say SOMETHING is coming down the pipeline in the next couple days.
Yeah, probably a demo.
Oh ok, so not everyone is having the same amount... Yeah i'd definitely say that they are preparing for a launch or something like that.
yeah i saw the download too and I was like: Finallllllyyy! :OOOO
but when i got in the game and on episode two it said ''coming soon'' x(
merp...
Mistake
