Kind of Confused about the Pudding & Pie (MATURE/SEXUAL TOPIC)
If you are reading this, then that means you have clicked the Reveal Spoiler button. Disclaimer time: the only reason I put it on was because of the mature nature of this topic.
Now, I haven't been to many strip clubs in my young adult life, but something struck me as strange about Pudding & Pie's backdrop. Did anyone else notice that there were a lot of advertisements and posters in the background for male strippers? And it's not just in the hallway/lobby area. In the actual staging area, the stage is flanked by classically posed nude male figures. The most noticable one are on the wall behind the DJ booth.
This is kind of confusing since the entire time you are there, Georgie is talking about all the girls that work there. And if this is suppose to be a "Gentlemen's Club," why have ads for male strippers and art of nude males on the wall? Even Clever Hans' Book of Fables entry states that he hopes to dance at Georgie's club one day!
My knee jerk reaction to this is that maybe there's a "Ladies Night" at the club, but if that were the case, I could excuse the posters. I don't know if that really is the case or not because of the art on the stage wall that you can see while you are in the club. In fact, any club, strip club or even a drag show, that features a Ladies Night normally has gender nuetral decor. Or at least avoids painting something on their stage wall that caters only to a specific gender demographic.
What's everyone else's thoughts on the matter? Is Georgie just trying to play both sides of the field for the sake of brining in more money? And if so, why the choice in decor?

Bear in mind that not all Fables are your standard humans. There are things like Toad and whatever-that-pig-from-Ep-1-was-called, as well as trolls and all sorts.
Having plenty of options available to such a wide variety of people makes sense.
I noticed the posters, but hadn't given it any thought. Although it is a bit strange, I don't really know what to make of it. Don't think it's gonna make that much of a difference for the story.
Oh, I know it doesn't have any baring on the story. I just found it odd to have so much male nudity in what is suppose to be a strip club with female performers.
Great... now I'm wondering what a strip club over at The Farm would look like. Thanks for painting THAT picture in my head.
There was always a mix of both. There are posters of both men and women and paintings of naked men at the right side and of naked women on the left side of the stage. It's only that your point of view is to the right side most of the time.
Fables live pretty much forever. They have a lot of time to explore everything I guess.
Edit: Oh and Georgie hit on Bigby for a tiny moment. Didn't you notice?
I thought it was quite clearly a 'we'll accomodate to your tastes, no matter what they are' sort of establishment. Is a male prostitute really that strange in such a place?
Great, I wasn't thinking of it until you mentioned it.
Then I laughed, because what I think of is hilarious.
Yeah, I noticed. That's why I got excited when Bigby picked up the cricket bat, but the reactions Georgie had at every other object you could smash didn't indicate what was the most important to him. Should've smashed the boom box though...
Is that in the spiel the woman gives when you enter? Because I told her to STFU because it was one of the options and I didn't see a point to her going on about what the club is.
I got the impression that the janitor/bouncer in the strip club that gives you a clue about the notebook was potentially one of the male strippers.
Fabletown is a small community geographically speaking, they probably wouldn't have both a gentleman's club and a gay strip club so my guess is the Pudding Pie just caters to everyone. The patrons probably don't care or don't pay attention to the nude men on the posters as they are too busy staring at the girls.
